Most Implausible Palin Story of the Week?
The Weekly Standard ^ | 11/08/08 | John McCormack

Posted on 11/08/2008 3:24:31 AM PST by DocT111

Via Isaac Chotiner, Newsweek reports:

The day of the third debate, Palin refused to go onstage with New Hampshire GOP Sen. John Sununu and Jeb Bradley, a New Hampshire congressman running for the Senate, because they were pro-choice and because Bradley opposed drilling in Alaska.

The McCain campaign ordered her onstage at the next campaign stop, but she refused to acknowledge the two Republican candidates standing behind her.

So according to the hatchet man/woman who talked to Newsweek, Palin is such an ideologue about drilling in ANWR that she won't stand next to Bradley, even though John McCain has the exact same position?

And Palin is such an ideologue that she won't appear with pro-choice politicians, even though she attended events with pro-choice Clinton donor Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild?

And we're really supposed to believe that Palin is so dumb she doesn't know Africa is a continent, but she knew about the voting records of John Sununu and Jeb Bradley in the first place?

Hmmm. I guess that might be remotely possible if it weren't for the fact that John Sununu has a 100 percent pro-life rating from the National Right to Life Committee.

Glad to see that whoever leaked this story is too dumb to come up with a plausible smear. And kudos to Newsweek for dumping this whopper without bothering to check if Sununu is in fact pro-abortion.

Oh, and by the way, Jeb Bradley isn't running for U.S. Senate, as Newsweek reports. Perhaps they might want to check out Wikipedia before publishing the next batch of Palin smears.

The MSM won’t ever let up on Gov. Palin. They intend to make her such a pariah that she has no chance for election anywhere outside of Alaska. Why? Because they’re evil, pure and simple.

Whoever said that McCain should have been told that Obama was a conservative was so right.

Oh yeah, that reminds me of the battle I had in these parts when Governor Palin was first selected over my claim that the country club Republicans would eventually hate Sarah because she wouldn't back down on drilling and abortion. Right on cue.

Was the Newsweek story headlined “Palin, Fearing Cooties, Stays Away From Senators”?

Such a shame that Palin wasnt on the top of the ticket. She would have hammered Obama on Wright and won.

Time, Newsweek, NYT, WaPo... does anyone with two gray cells to rub together read these rags anymore? None of them has had any credibility since the sixties.

If that means that Governor Palin wants to throw the RINOs out of the party, this just made me love her even more.

Do you have an agenda here?

This is the second one of these DIVIDE & CONQUER articles you've posted in the past 20 minutes. And you seem to post about 10 of them EACH DAY!

And you're a newbie.

No, the real reason is that they realize that she can energize the "Silent Majority" like Reagan did and they don't want another Reagan. They could never control nor could they put a dent in Reagan's armor. Like Palin, Reagan spoke DIRECTLY to the people. He knew he didn't need the media as much as they thought he needed them and for THAT, they literally hated him.

I don’t believe this drivel. However I would have given the Pro choice guy a piece of my mind and I would have set the record straight on drilling!

"I'm embarrassed that so many around here were so eager to believe this UNBELIEVABLE pack of ludicrous UNSOURCED ROMORS!"

Too true. I wote an article on my blog earlier in the week about Sarah's ability to govern and handle problems, and why the "old" GOP fears her so. Sure enough, no matter what you post any more, if it has "Sarah Palin" in it anywhere, the trolls crawl out of the slime. This particular one repeated every rumor, then slandered her, the state of Alaska, the people who live here, the way they make their living, and the whole bit. He kept insisting his rumors were "facts," and that I didn't understand the "philosophy" of his position. I nuked the little hoser.

So basically, Sarah Palin is for drilling oil and against killing babies.

You know, I hope someone can save up all this stuff for 2010 and 2012, so that we can flood every blog, forum, friend, neighbor, you-name-it, and just DESTROY the credibility of the MSM, Hollywood left, etc.
