Dr. Alveda King to Pro-Lifers: Forward, March
Christian Newswire ^ | Nov. 5

Posted on 11/08/2008 2:05:20 AM PST by nickcarraway

Dr. Alveda King, Pastoral Associate of Priests for Life and niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., today challenged pro-lifers, especially those who voted for a pro-abortion candidate, to fight for their pro-life convictions.

"To everyone who said, 'I am pro-life, but I will vote for a pro-abortion candidate this time,' I say now is the time to prove your commitment to the unborn," said Dr. King. "March for truth and justice. Flood the White House and Congress with messages that you do not agree with the slaughter of innocent children. Stand up for 'the least of these.'"

"Preachers, preach life;" added Dr. King, "warriors, pray for life; soldiers, fight for life. The pro-life battle begins anew. We march on!"

you know, i dont recall a single mention of her endorsement of mccain aside from here and a few conservative email lists i am on. funny that.
had she endorsed obama, the news would have shouted from the roof tops, instead they buried it. betcha you could not find half a dozen peeps outside of FR that know of it.

This is the silliest thing I have heard.
If a person was Pro-Life and voted for a Pro-Abortinist, then guess what... They were not Pro-Life to begin with. That is like Christians voting for Obama. Christians do not support the slaughter of babies. Obama does. The 2 are not compatible. If you do not vote abortionist into the Whitehouse then you do not have to flood it with messages that you do not agree with the slaughter of the innocent.

i agree, it is silly, but peeps do it!
you have a whole slew of people who are pro life, but feel they dont have the right to “tell other people what they can do” seriously.
i have a few of these women at work. they believe the above and also feel other issues such as poverty, pulling out of iraq etc are more pressing at this time.
one woman told me that voting pro life or pro choice matters little that those who are pro life wont get abortions and those that are pro choice would. no concept of judges, or doing a way with government funding of abortions.in fact she was not even aware they were funded by her tax dollars.
king is right, peeps need to be educated because the average person is either ill informed, ignorant, or just silly stupid!
:)

There are people out there -- I don't know how many, but some -- who are pro-life, but voted for Hussein because they were ignorant of how anti-life he really is. I read on another thread here that a FReeper was telling a pro-life voter they shouldn't have voted for Hussein, and the voter said, "But he's pro-life, isn't he ... I mean, he's a Christian?!?"

Don't underestimate the degree to which people are simply ignorant of who and what Hussein is (thanks to the MSM), and/or are actively trying to ignore the truth about him.
