OBAMA'S 'CHANGE': BACK TO THE DEMOCRATIC WASHINGTON INSIDERS

What's with Obama's choice of old-time Clinton cronies and recycled Washington insiders to run the transition to his new politics of change?

Can't the anti-Washington insiders President-elect find anyone who isn't a Beltway has-been?

Judging by the appointments to his transition committee and leaks about possible top staff and Cabinet choices, Obama appears to be practicing the politics of status quo, not the politics of change.

Obama based his innovative campaign on an emphatic and convincing commitment to change the culture of Washington and bring in new people, new ideas, and new ways of doing business.

But now, Obama has definitely changed his tune. As president-elect, he's brought back the old Washington hacks, party regulars, and Clinton sycophants that he so frequently disparaged. Like Jimmy Carter, the last President who ran as an outsider, Obama has reached out to the same old folks who dominate the Democratic Party and represent the status quo.

His Transition Committee looks like a reunion of the Clinton Administration. No new ideas of how to reform the system there. The Chairman, John Podesta, was Clinton's Chief of Staff. He presided over the outrageous last minute pardons and his style is strictly inside-the-beltway and make-no-waves.

Speaking of brash, Rahm Emmanuel, the new White House Chief of Staff, makes Cutter look timid. Rahm is also a former Clinton White House staffer - and a very obnoxious one. He spent his White House years leaking to the Washington Post whenever he didn't like what the President was doing. Even Bill Clinton stopped trusting him.

” Rahm Emmanuel...spent his White House years leaking to the Washington Post whenever he didn’t like what the President was doing. Even Bill Clinton stopped trusting him.”

Oh, this is gonna be good.

Sounds like a train-wreck waiting to happen. Picking Ol' Slow Joe Biden should have been a hint to everyone that Obami was a joke.

We'll have to just watch and laugh LOUDLY! Hopefully we wont get blown up in the process.

Obama was never clear on just what change and hope means. How is he going to fix the economy? Reassure Americans we have "a strong and resilient country," in his words today? Confront America's enemies abroad? And renew the American Dream? Its an appealing slogan. But short on specifics. He will learn as President that he cannot be all things to all people.

Two Democrat lawyers winning office. Yeah, that's ‘Change’ ok.

The real change is that neither one has any military experience. Uncle Joe got five deferments before claiming asthma and Osama, well, we all know about Osama

Someone told me 0bama has already nominated an FCC chairman. Is this correct? I have not seen anything in the news. Supposedly the chairman is a far lefty who will want to get conservatism off the radio. Any word on that?

This is a good thing. The insiders aren’t likely to change much. The last thing we want is for Obama to be bringing in Socialist newbies to Washington, because they might actually implement policies we would regret for years to come.

His handlers need to inform him he isn’t in Chicago anymore. If he wants to be president, he has to appear presidential and that means no cheapshots at ill first ladies and stupidly contrived potshots at others.

Get with it. You guys have two months to mold this clown into your face.

You should have just had Emmanual run instead of Zero.

In a really sort of S&M way these picks are comforting. Been there, done that, and know how the story ends. The WSJ likes the Rahm pick. They point out that the fight that matters will be intra-Democratic and Obamessiah will need all the help he can get as witnessed by...wait for it...Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. Whose your Daddy?

Back to GRIDLOCK! The congressional democrats overreaching causing a Democratic President to turn to the minority causing a rebellion in his own party which slows it all down to the point that nothing gets done.

Obama had no choice but to name all these Clinton-era retreads to these positions. He and his followers are barely competent enough to dress themselves, and they were totally unprepared for what awaited them on the morning after Election Day.

As far as I am concerned; this proves he and Hillary work for the same people and Hillary looked too happy at the polls. And we all know what an actor Booba is.

I still believe they all in it together.
