The Al Qaeda dilemma: How to feel about the election of Barack Obama

WASHINGTON - Barack Obama's election has flummoxed Islamic jihadists, who are struggling to decide what it means.

Many didn't expect an African-American to win, and now they disagree on how to react to it....

"We will be flexible in dealing with your withdrawal, on the basis that it will not be according to a security agreement with agent parties and an artificial government," the Political Council for the Iraqi Resistance said, according to a SITE Intelligence Group translation.

Pulling out won't be a retreat but a "victory for reason and logic," the group added.

Other terrorists were divided.

"Now is the time for a truce," an Iraqi jihadi in an Al Qaeda-linked chatroom said.

My worst fear is that they assassinate him to trigger a race war.

It is sad when the far left, the Democratic party, the media, and al queda have the exact same messages.

“Today, on behalf of my brothers in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, and Chechnya, I offer you what is better for you and us: You return to your previous era of neutrality, you withdraw your forces, and you return to your homes. You do not interfere in the affairs of our countries, whether directly or indirectly. We in turn will not prevent commerce with you, whether it is in oil or otherwise, but with fairness, not at a loss.”

This quote from Al Qaeda in Iarq. All we have to do is what they say and they will not hurt us anymore! And all of this because of 0bama! I’m beginning to rethink this 0bama thing!

Just to be safe, I wouldn’t fly anywhere on commercial airlines on January 18-22.

The only thing AQ “feels” is whether to insult Bush by attacking before the end of his term or to take advantage of a weak POTUS in the first few days of his office.

Taliban should hand over Bin Ladin. They’ll never have a better chance at a truce.

Obama declares victory and takes the troops home and the Taliban has free reign to rebuild their power base in Afghanistan. In two years they’ve pushed Karzai out of office and the one-eyed mullah sits in the palace.

Obama makes a state visit to offer his profound congratulations to Omar. Its a win-win.
