Then they shouldn't be Republicans.
you’re right....foolish me....have you noticed that everytime she’s got blacks on her show, all of a sudden she’s jive talking....and yes, IMHO she is one of the biggest racist around....and her audience is made up predominantly of white women...and that’s who made her filthy rich!!! The one thing I’ll never get over is her rushing off to Africa to open a school - what about all the poor black kids in Chicago that could have used help? Guess it wouldn’t have gotten her annointed a Saint by taking care of Americans....
For her, local tv is Wasilla, Alaska. How is that supposed to expose her to the rest of the country? Or do you suppose that a Des Moine, Iowa TV station has the budget to do interviews in Alaska?
If Palin wants to be a candidate in 2012 she should do as many of these shows as she can. Palin is a winner in person. Her personality is infectious and she is entertaining. She should do the shows that let people meet her in an unfiltered non-political environment. The viewers will warm to her and will later warm to her message when it is time to deliver it. She should avoid, for now, shows with a hard news political edge. This election is over, people don't want a message right now, but they would love meeting the real Sarah.
She should do the View. Whoopi and Joy are lightweights compared to her. She will handle them with ease. She should not do Oprah. The dynamics are dirrerent there. She would be conceding to Oprah's power. By not doing the show she asserts equal level of control. She should do Regis & Kelly. Being on the tonight show would be perfect, Leno would let Sarah be Sarah. Even Larry King would be a good gig since it is unedited.
All she’s going to do is provide them with more cannon fodder...
“How do you feel about being the reason for John “He’s a good man” McCain’s loss? says Baba Wawa
“Do you think you abusing your power as governor hurt John “He’s a good man” McCain? says Oprah
No, they want to solidify the “diva” label...it would be ill-advised.
They are asking her to present her throat.
OF those three, I think that the only shot she has of getting a close to fair forum would be Larry King. She would have a whole hour, and Larry King isn’t a leftist pit bull who pulls the rug out from under you
Oprah and Walters are just that. She should avoid them like the plague. Their shows would also be more about them.
Also, anything she would do with Walters would be taped in advance, and Walters would edit it to Palin’s disadvantage, just like Couric did with her gotcha questions and biased editing
Oprah and King at least would be live
It's like the old saying: "If they didn't bother with me when I was alive, they don't need to show up at my funeral."
Letterman. Whatever his personal views, give Dave a good looking chick who can talk and he just shuts up and lets her go for it.
Found an interesting tidbit today. You know how the McCain political staffers and press were denigrating Palin over the speech she allegedly was going to give? They all said V.P. candidates don't give concession speeches when their ticket loses. Well, that's B.S. Here's a link to the transcript of the concession speech John Edwards gave at Faneuil Hall in Boston, the night he and Kerry lost:

I guess concession speeches are only okay if you're a Democrat.
“I guess concession speeches are only okay if you’re a Democrat.”
Dems are the masters of dual standards and discrimination. Take “hate crimes” for instance, which unconstitutionally violate “equal protection” under the law, or “affirmative action”, or no prayer or mention of God in school (unless you are black because that’s part of THEIR culture), etc, etc, etc. Redistribution of wealth is about discrimination. Everything they stand for is discriminatory.
They are in preemptive strike mode for 2012; they will try to destroy her early.
She needs to go home to Alaska and finish making it the shining star of the states.
From MSNBC online article last night:
Feds Won't Charge Spitzer in Call-Girl Scandal
"[Ex-NY Gov.] Spitzer later revealed to investigators that on multiple occasions he arranged for women to travel from one state to another state to engage in prostitution.
Federal law makes it a crime to induce someone to cross state lines for immoral purposes."
Typical outcome when a Dem is involved.
I wonder how many Republicans he prosecuted on morality issues. If we are going to let people walk should Repubs get mercy, too?
