Then I need help in understanding how Congress works. With a 55 seat Dem majority in the House and a fillibuster-proof Senate, please explain how the Repubs will be anything except spitoons for the Democrats.

55 is not filibuster proof.
60 is filibuster proof

With a 55 seat Dem majority in the House and a fillibuster-proof Senate, I thought the Democrate now have 58 seats in the Senate, which would leave them two seats shy of a filibuster-proof majority.

Dems will need every Repub they can get. There are “conservative” dems thinking about the next election. Also if some Repubs go along with Pelosi, the botox reprobate can share the blame if things go really bad.

The RATs will go back to their old LBJ form where there is only a token presence of Pubies with no voice. Then you'll think overflowing chamber pot instead of spitoon.

What they’ll provide is contrast, which is exactly what we’ve been asking for: don’t act like dems.

If I’m correct, they don’t have the 60 votes they need to veto a filibuster. That can still take place.
