Fox News is only showing about 48 votes in in New Hampshire, and roughly 3 votes counted in Maine
Indiana was scary looking a few minutes ago, but is tightening fast. Hell, there’s only 1% in.
What I still can’t get over is how someone that hates what this country is can be this close to being president....
The Indiana map looks pretty normal. Obamas counties are the ones with big universities. McCain has good margins in the normal counties. Marshall in the north does not have a university but does have a lot of illegals and unemployed union workers.
Fox News dares to show a map with only 3 votes counted? Geez. Journalism is getting lower and lower each year.
TO quote the statistican at National Review, “you might as well slaughter a goat and read its intrails” as pay attention to the data right now.
I am going to go drink a Scotch, have a nice meal with wine, pray, and maybe check FR before bed.
TV will make you crazy.
Dixville Notch and Hart’s Location, NH, most likely. I also saw that Maine result: Obama 2, McCain 1, I think. That’s
right: Obama is winning by a 2 to 1 margin in the Pine
Tree State! (in one town or something)
The number of reporting precincts is very low so each one has a big impact. Each precinct may have its own character.
With small numbers at the beginning, it’s all meaningless. Gotta wait until there’s a statistically relevant number of votes counted. Maybe a third... then it starts to show something watchable.
The data so far is so small that any new data shows extreme swings. That will correct itself as more precincts report.

Each precinct FOR CERTAIN has its own character. Precincts are generally small (a few thousand voters) in a fairly defined geographical area which is often made up of neighborhoods that are fairly homogeneous.
what fluctuations? The map is blank except for new hampshire and indiana and both of those show less than 5% of votes counted.
With 1% of the vote in in 06, Allen was winning over web by a large margin and we all remember how that turned out.
exit polling....jezzzz they have catagories..????
people who part their hair on the right? while wearing pink sneakers and carrying bags of frito’s
The C-Span web site map has declared KY for McPalin:
In one Plantation (an unincorporated area of maine) maybe. Big deal!!
Bwhahahahaha!!!!
With ZERO votes posted, Fox News is calling Vermont for Obama!
Not that I expect it to go for McCain, but, Fox dudes, let’s wait until you’ve counted at least one vote!!!!
NH and ME have not yet officially closed. Only votes counted are from tiny towns that voted early this morning, like Dixville Notch, or Doxville Nitch, or whatever it is.
