I choked back my bile and voted for him. I was the only voter in the place this afternoon but there are only about 4000 voters in this township and ours is the smaller precinct. The poll workes said that they were really busy in the morning and would get busy again after 3. I voted around 2 this afternoon.

I travel a lot these days and if bumper stickers mean anything, McCain/Palin are well out front.

The key is how many Republicans get out and vote. So far it looks good for McCain. Appears to be a high turnout in the Republican areas.

Extremely heavy turnout in Upstate SC. Three plus hour lines were common (greeters at Wally World must be in training to be poll workers.) Minority turnout massive in my precinct (suburb/city outskirts). In defense of the poll workers they were demanding ID on all and checking the voter registration rolls. The turnout worries me as the conventional wisdom is that heavy voting favors the Dems. All we can do now is encourage everyone who has not voted to do so and to pray for a favorable outcome. We should know in about one half hour whether 0 cruises or if it is going to be a long night.

Haven't been too good. My wife saw her Thoracic Surgeon today and he gave her the bad news she has a small cancerous nodule in her right lung and he will be operating on her this coming Monday to remove it. The PET scan didn't show any spreading to other parts of her body so that is Good news. He will be removing one of her lobes to make sure he gets all the cancer. No chemo or radiation if he does that. To top it off, I've come down with the shingles. Probably from stress over the past month of her taking CT, PET and biopsy test.

We voted absentee 3 weeks ago (straight Republican) knowing that this situation might happen and am glad we did. I am praying for my wife as well as the outcome of the election for McCain.

Please pray for my wife of 41 blissful married years to me. She has endured so many illnesses in the last 11 years and now she is facing the Big one.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
