World hopes for a 'less arrogant America'

America gave the World the republican form of government, a written Constitution, and democracy. Europe gave the World monarchy, fascism, and communism.

Most of our ancestors came to America to escape poverty, prejudice, religious and political oppression. We are the most charitable and forgiving nation in the World. So what exactly do we owe the World?

Napolean was never our ally, yet we did not come to the rescue of Europe at that time either. We obviously were a new country at that time and were barely able to get on our own feet, much less mess with the current world super powers. We did sign a peace treaty with him (Treaty of Ghent) and Jefferson of course made the Lousiana purchase from his government.

When I mentioned those leaders, I was merely associating meglomaniac leaders which have threatened Europe. They seem to get one about every 50 years or so, so they are about due.....
