Sorry, but this doesn’t exactly prove something fraudulent happened. Does this “witness” somehow know that the first vote was recorded. Machines do mess up.
I guess they do not want their voter fraud to be seen...
This morning, I saw an elderly gentleman voting and he had never used the computerized machines before and he kept calling the poll wprker in to help him.
Fraud? Likely.
But it won’t be prosecuted. Bookmarked.
Exactly. How on earth could anybody think there’d be possible fraud in inner-city Philadelphia?
And the two thugs with “nightsticks”-well those were just cheesesteaks in their hands-it was lunchtime.

I don’t know the actual procedure if it appears the machine messed up, but I know that in Virginia on the electronic machine, you have to push “confirm.” And there are times it doesn’t confirm the vote as being recorded. I would assume at that point the election official would have to reset and it certainly would look like a person is voting twice.
Anyway, whatever double voting DOES happen almost certainly doesn’t happen the way the person described it. People don’t just stand there and vote twice for just anybody to observe.
Come on, people intent on vote fraud don’t stand there in front of just anybody and very obviously vote twice. They go to different precincts or send in absentee ballots.

In all fairness, you may be right.
That being said, if someone is unable to scam their way to get something (money, votes) then force is the way. Get some thug with a nightstick, and you can get away with a lot. Not every one can be a jewel theif, so they become a mugger-same thing-different method.
I don’t know if this story is correct. But it’s similar to what IS going on as we speak, and so I’m inclined to takre it seriously.

No - by the time I was inside to pick up my ballot they were gone.
She says this person was elderly, so maybe he messed up and the first vote wasn’t recorded. On the other hand, who knows. We have a system in my county in Florida where a voter who hasn’t marked the ballot properly has the ballot rejected by the scanner. It’s canceled on the spot, and then the person votes again.
I don’t know what the Philadelphia system is, but I can tell you one thing, it’s certainly not transparent. People shouldn’t have these questions, and if they do, it’s because the system they’re using isn’t good.
Yes. Why should any side have to deal with situations like this. Mexico has a better system for voting them we have.
Now at Obamahood.org they have a update also in philly of Republican poll watchers being thrown out.
I just voted in SF. While I was filling out the ballot I noticed the poll worker had given me 2 presidential ballots. I gave one back, but wondered how many of those were handed out, filled in for O and put through the system? Let’s face it, there aren’t too many McCain voters here.
One black poll worker was very selective about asking for ID. Mostly white guys. He didn’t ask me for anything.
