I am actually in Mount Carroll, was visiting in Dekalb and drove back this morning to vote.

I also voted a big NO on the Constitutional Convention...last thing we need are the damn democrat bastards messing around and making the Illinois constitution more Soviet like than what it already is...

Wondering if you have noticed democrat yards without Obama signs? I have noticed quite a few out by us...

In town, I'd say it's 50/50. That is, half the Democrat yards have Obama signs. Perhaps a little higher. Out in the country it's mostly Republican. Few Obama signs about. Also, the Democrat yards this year outnumber the McCain yards slightly, but I'm sure that's a fear of intimidation. It's never been that way before. Coupled with the fact there are far fewer signs from either party this year than in the past, I'm sure of it. And seldom do I see a bumper sticker...

Hear ye, hear ye. Same here. I’m about to go vote (live in DuPage County, IL, still a bastion of Republicanism, at least for the moment). Will vote a big fat NO on the Constitutional Convention. Luckily, there has been a lot of AD’s in my area by Jim Edgar, past Pub Gov of IL spreading the word to vote NO on the attempt to hold a constitutional convention and explaining how it is an attempt by the Dem majority in the Illinois legislature to grab more power and to get their hands on more money via consitutional changes. I think it will go down to resounding defeat. Well, off to vote go I, in the land of Obama, no longer the land of Lincoln, here in Illinois. But this too shall pass.
