Palin: San Francisco is Obama’s Truth Serum
WSJ ^ | 11/3/08 | Nick Timiraos

Sarah Palin kept up her attacks today against Barack Obama’s energy policies in Ohio during her fifth stop in the Buckeye State in two days.

Palin again criticized the Illinois senator for comments he made to the San Francisco Chronicle earlier this year when he said that his proposal to cap greenhouse gases would make it much harder to produce coal-fired power plants without more advanced technology. ohio_palin_HV_20081103103107.jpg Sarah Palin speaks during a campaign event in Owensville, Ohio, on Sunday. “So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can,” Obama said then. “It’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.”

The issue is particularly sensitive in coal-rich Ohio, West Virginia, and Colorado. Obama made the comments to the San Francisco Chronicle in January, which were posted on YouTube over the weekend.

God bless you, John McCain for picking a fighter, not a namby-pamby RINO who is afraid to fight.

I asked this in another thread but no one has answered: is this story regarding the coal plants being played in the MSM in Penn. and Ohio?

Bingo, Sarah! When Barry is in S.F., he’s completely surrounded by like-minded people, so he lets his guard down and speaks less cautiously.

McCain will win.

That said, thank GOD for Sarah Palin. She is amazing. When the McCain campaign was phoning it in, she went “rogue” and continued fighting. She now has given McCain a chance to win. Plus, she has rinsed the GOP of it’s wobbly losers like David Brooks and Peggy Noonan. Good riddence!

Should the unthinkable happen, and America gets a taste of socialism, Palin will roast Obama in 2012.

They have a candidate who says one thing on either coast and something else in the heartland.

We have a candidate who goes to Iowa corn farmers and tells them to pi$$ off with that ethanol cr@p.

This coal stuff should kill 0bama among anybody who thinks about the issue for ten seconds. Unfortunately most 0bama voters won't.

Yes. Coupled with the MSM trying to make excuses, of course.

“The bitter clingers, the cling-ons, all of us, I guess, holding onto religion and guns,” she [Gov. Palin]said,

"Cling-ons" - I think the lady just coined a new epithet for us.

“Should the unthinkable happen, and America gets a taste of socialism, Palin will roast Obama in 2012.”

Good point, but I doubt an Obama presidency would last 4 years.

“Gov. Palin = the GOP’s 5th Element”

I prefer a more historical context

Gov. Palin = the GOP’s Joan of Arc.

The Obama campaign says that Palin is misconstruing his position ...

Apparently they've got a problem with the Ohio Coal Association:

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov 03, 2008 /PRNewswire–USNewswire via COMTEX/ — Mike Carey, president of the Ohio Coal Association (OCA), today issued the following statement in response to just-released remarks from Senator Barack Obama about the nation’s coal industry.
“Regardless of the timing or method of the release of these remarks, the message from the Democratic candidate for President could not be clearer: the Obama-Biden ticket spells disaster for America’s coal industry and the tens of thousands of Americans who work in it.”
