Obama: "Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket."

Americans (esp. Pennsylvanians) pay attention to this mans words:

The catalyst for our Industrial Revolution began with coal mining in states like Pennsylvania. Even today coal plays an integral part in our means of energy production. The keystone states' economy is considerably dependent on the coal industry. If you do not think a President Barrack Obama would be a threat to your pockets and living, you are sadly mistaken.

"Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it — whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers."

If Senator Obama can forsee skyrocketing energy costs being passed onto the American consumer due to his cap and trade plan, why can't he forsee the damage his tax plan will do to the American economy? His tax plan instantly increases the tax burden on corporations and small businesses. No amount of money he can redistribute will be able to offset the rising costs of goods and services that will be passed on to the American consumer. This is basic economics. Corporations do not pay taxes! They are passed on to the consumer. To take all this free capital and funnel it through an even greater Washington bureaucracy would prove catastrophic to this economy! -ObamaHood.org

:::::::::::::
Because that truth does not sound good...he cannot say that. His socialism will not last very long. And hopefully he will be so crazy that impeachment will come equally fast....I am afraid the American public has a huge lesson to learn and that lesson is going to cost America dearly and hurt deeply.

He won’t be able to do this. The economy will completely tank and he’ll buckle under the pressure.

Hopefully, this is just an academic exercise and BO will go down to a bewildering defeat tomorrow.

Because Obama’s heros taught him that you destroy them system from within and all the good little proleteriats are partying like its 1917. Except of course they forgot, that in the end, everyone who had enough to eat was labeled a Kulak.

Maybe he CAN foresee the damage his plan will do, and it's part of a larger plan to consolidate power in the hands of his friends and benefactors.

That question, taking as a premise that he can't foresee the damage inflicted by his tax and other plans, presumes that he has the best interests of ordinary Americans at heart, and that supporting those interests is his primary goal.

It's the same lesson people in Russia, Germany and Eastern Europe were learning through the 20th Century. Hopefully our lesson will cost and hurt less. Now that's the hope.

Here's the biggest hypocrisy of all. BO has been endorsed by United Mine Workers Association President Cecil Roberts. What a crock! The UMWA union is nothing more than a PAC for the Democratic Party. In another puzzling move in 2000, Roberts endorsed Al Gore for president. Yes, the same environmental wacko Al Gore who said in his book “Earth in the Balance” that coal mining would have to end. Roberts and the UMWA would endorse whoever the Democratic nominee is, no matter what the consequences are for coal miners or the coal industry as a whole. He would endorse Mickey Mouse if he were on the ticket. Roberts, you have absolutely no credibility whatsoever. Absolutely none.

Back in the 80’s I visited the Soviet Union. The way they dealt with this sort of problem was by having multiple families living in one small apartment. No big deal, right?

Obama has came right out and said “I will increase taxes”, “I will increase utility costs”, “You will be forced to make sacrifices” and yet people are excited to vote for him. I keep saying that like I’m shocked or something.

I ceased being "shocked" long ago. This has truly become absolutely bizarre. No matter what the truth about this guy is, they will vote for him like zombies. If he gets elected, God forbid, I don't want to hear one, even ONE complaint from my co-worker-zombies about the price of electricity, fuel or anything else! I will shove him back in their dumbass faces everyday..................

Of course the socialists want to — they have been working very hard at that for some time. Radical, confiscatory taxation, suppression of a sound and functional energy policy to protect America, (eg no drilling in prime areas) -— prevention of a flat tax, etc. IMHO, they engineered the Fannie Mae - Freddie Mac collapse to happen RIGHT NOW. That was not too hard to do. It had been coming for years, and all they had to do was scream “fire” in the financial world and look what happened.....and then, of course, “it was Bush’s fault”....as Dodd, Frank, and all the rest of the commie criminals laughed.

It is always easy to reason out -— what is bad for America, is good for the socialists. They thrive on disaster, failure, negativism and class warfare. Nothing new really.

“”Under my plan of a cap and trade system...”

Also known as Communism, Socialism, Marxism, whatever. It simply means everyone not a government elite is a slave.

You’re wasting your time: the union members have the blinders securely in place on the sides of their rose-colored glasses.

They never notice when their union leaders rob them blind - how could they notice what Obama plans to do to them?

It really helps the loyalty thing if a union member is illiterate...

Bizarre is the only word I can use to describe this entire escapade of that which is Obama.

I’ve said this before, but I keep coming back to it. I feel like I am watching a movie! It seems so surreal to me and the ridiculousness of it all doesn’t seem possible. But it is and it’s happening.

And everytime one complains, tell them to go pray to their Obama.

I even saw a shirt on a post the other someone a&&hat was wearing that said “In Obama we trust”.

I hope God sees the Lots and Noahs in our great nation and not the O-bots.

You’re exactly right. Of course the question then becomes why are they trying to destroy the economy. Obviously they want what ever a certain part of the economy to fail so the government can come in and take it over, to nationalize it. Like what we saw with the mortgage/banking part. Next it will be energy, then healthcare, then move on to the next area.

It is just like the Sinclair Lewis' novel, It Can't Happen Here, written in the 1930's. Perhaps you remember a TV miniseries called "V". It was loosely based on the novel, swapping nazi-brownshirts for space aliens..............
