NAPLES — A group of children and parents were trick or treating when witnesses say a black Hyundai drove through the crowd, nearly striking one of the children.

One of the parents yelled at the driver to slow down. The driver stopped her car and exited the vehicle holding a three-foot long crow bar. Witnesses say the suspect began swinging the crow bar at the group violently.

The suspect struck a parent on the forehead with the crow bar and then drove away quickly. Witnesses were able to jot down the license plate number.

The suspect and her vehicle were later located at the Shell Station on 2100 Bayshore Drive.

The victim suffered a laceration to the forehead and a concussion.

The suspect, Doniell Daugherty, 20, of 257 Poe Avenue, North Fort Myers, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Just another day in South Florida.

A likely Barack Hussein Obama voter just seeing what she can get away with.

Who can be so nutty as to attack a group of Trick-or-Treaters with a crowbar?

I’m thinking pulling out a .45 and presenting would have stopped the swinging of the crowbar.

Someone coming at me swinging a crowbar?
I’m thinking pulling out a .45 and shooting her in the head would have stopped the swinging of the crowbar.

I hope she gets at least 10 years for this.

She is so sweet in appearance and out hitting people with a crowbar. Shame on her.

It is likely that more was said to her than merely “slow down” and she may have felt justified in what she did. She will feel something totally different when she is doing a year in the hoosgow for trying to be a bada$$ with a crowbar.

Felony assault. I wonder if they did a blood test on her. It would be nice to get to follow this one through the courts. I bet it’ll be pled down to misdemeanor assault and she gets off with less than 2 months, but I won’t give odds. Doing this in front of kids might irritate the judge and/or jury.

yep.

In years to come, the “never bring a crow bar to the gun fight” lesson would have been part of the story told to the grandkids and hopefully the grandkids too. I can almost picture their faces now....

Makes me teary-eyed just thinking about it.
