Palin knocks Obama over months-old coal comments (another tape the media has been hiding)

MARIETTA, Ohio (CNN) – Campaigning in coal country just two days before the presidential election, Sarah Palin is highlighting an interview Barack Obama gave to the San Francisco Chronicle in January in which the Democrat suggested coal plants would be bankrupted by his cap-and-trade proposal.

Audio of Obama’s comments began bubbling up on major conservative blogs over the last 24 hours, and Palin wondered why voters were only now hearing about the remarks. The insinuation that the Chronicle had been hiding the coal comments from the public brought about shouts of “Liberal media!” from the crowd.

“Why is the audio tape just now surfacing?,” Palin asked. “This interview was given to San Francisco folks many, many months ago. You should have known about this, so that you would have better decision-making information as you go into the voting booth.”

This story seemed to break early this morning on FR and in a NY minute Drudge and Palin were already running with it. Couldn’t be prouder of the freepers who made this happen. Haven’t heard mention on FNC yet so I pray the media gets on the ball.

Kudos to FR and Drudge, but Sarah...where was your campaign? If McCain pulls this off, it’ll only be because we dragged him across as Rush puts it.

***In the interview, Obama also made the case for alternative energy sources, adding that he does not believe coal production will be eliminated***

More Drive-by media editorializing to favor Obama. If they're bankrupt I would assume they would be “eliminated”.

Welcome to the World of Now, where the phrase “months old” raises the connotation of unfairly dredging up an indiscreet remark from the distant past. To the ADHD-afflicted microwave media if Obama didn’t say it today then it’s old news we should all ignore.

“Months-old”...that's the best the liberals can do? Sounds like the left is not all that confident that Obama will win’ if they were confident, they'd let this coal controversy pass without commenting.

Obama will increase your Electricity Bill, by increasing emission fines on the Coal Industry until it is “bankrupt”
Obama will make you pay more for your Petrol, by not allowing more Offshore Drilling

Palin question is rhetorical. She is asking her own campaign why this and other new revelations were not found until now. This is Palin vs Obama . She will win it . It seems whenever it looks bad someone at Free republic comes up with a 4th quarter deep pass...

Amazing...”months old”...

Hey dirtbags at CNN....if you had been doing your jobs for the last two years we wouldn’t have to dig this up ourselves.

Obama: We are going to continue to mine for coal and stockpile it. This is part of my work for welfare program as the price of coal won’t be worth spit, but “those” people will need something to do while their waiting for their gubment checks on the 1st and the 15th...

I got my “Clean Coal” white baseball cap from the Palin Rally in Raleigh yesterday. I’m wearing it even though it mats down my hair!
