I know this is common, too. A friend of mine was threatened at her workplace and told she would be prosecuted if her name was attached to any anti Obama emails.
She could get around the whole anti-obama thing by just sending out a pro-McCain email....

Man I am so lucky. I work for a small company with hard core conservative leasdership. Many of us are CCW holders and carry to wrk. The president & CEO also carrys and encourages all of us to do so. We don't play no stinkin golf ... we shoot trap once a week.
Out of 30 or so people we do have two or three who had drunk the Obama Koolaide. We don't threaten or harass, but I know who will get laid off first if the small business tax kicks in.

Find a good lawyer immediately, have them sue your former employer for harassment, as well as something called constructive discharge, which is the term applied by the the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission when the conditions of a job become so intolerable that an employee is forced to resign. Unfortunately, EEOC could not or would not represent you in this action since they only deal with alleged violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights act of 1964. Unless it has been amended to include additional bases, that law is limited to discriminatory acts by an employer based on an employee’s race, religion, sex, color, or national origin. The courts have recognized constructive discharge, and ruled in favor of Plaintiffs on that basis, for at least 25 years. I urge you not to just let it drop and I will certainly keep you and this country I love so dearly in my prayers because I keep hearing more and more of these reports almost daily.
If BO becomes POTUS, this will be common across the US.
