Because regular Law Enforcement agencies would not confiscate guns from law abiding citizens and a so-called “citizen army” would >try< to do that.
I believe that Katrina/New Orleans debunked that.....
The Supreme Court has spoken on that topic, so absent a new ruling (always a possibility once a President Obama got done packing the court with his appointees), an outright ban isn't going to fly.

Dead on. I’ve told everyone I know that I have drawn the line and I refuse to let anyone, including the feds, cross it. I believe there are many others out there that feel the same way. I fear no man, only the loss of my nation and liberty.
I carry...and I don't have a CCL..and I'm not getting one.
I'm a responsible adult...drive nice vehicles, and I'm polite and professional. I've never been asked if I had a weapon when I've been pulled over....although that has been only twice in 15 years, plus. No tickets, no record.
IF, I do get asked in the future...I will tell them no. They have no business "patting" me down....and I have a VERY REAL business in protecting me, and mine.

As long as gov’t fascists in congress and the white house are allowed to have armed protection, so am I as far as I’m concerned (I do, after all, pay their salaries). If they want to change that then they can come and get me because I simply will not comply.
For years I have watched politicians and illegal aliens break the law with total impunity, always wondering what laws I was allowed to break with impunity. Now I know what laws I will break if it becomes necessary.
