GOTV Efforts

This is it, folks! All of the phone calls, all of the door knocks, all of the letters stamped and envelopes sealed, comes down to the next 4 days. So many of you have put so much effort into this race for the US Senate, and I can't begin to tell you how much it's appreciated.

The question remains, though: will you stand with us over the next 96 hours?

The truth is, this race is no longer just about Virginia. It's not about Jim Gilmore and Mark Warner, it is a referendum on the direction our country will be taking for decades to come. The bottom line is that, should the Democrats win this seat, it is very likely that they will have a 60-vote majority in the Senate. That means that there will be no check on their liberal agenda.

To help you grasp just what that could mean, our friends at the Wall Street Journal have put together a list of bills that were passed by the Democratic House last year, and died in the Senate:

"Take a look at what House Democrats (who aren't burdened with a filibuster) unilaterally passed last year: The biggest tax increase in history; card check, which eliminates secret ballots in union organizing elections; an "energy" bill that lacks drilling; vastly expanded government health insurance; new powers to restrict pharmaceutical prices. Add to this a global warming program, new trade restrictions (certainly no new trade deals) and fewer private options in Medicare."

This is just in the last year alone! Don't forget the other pet projects of the left that would surely come up: massive slashes in defense spending, a reinstatement of the Clinton Gun Ban, and the return of the Fairness Doctrine to silence our staunchest supporters on the airwaves.

We cannot let this happen. We need you to go to your nearest Victory Center (see below) and volunteer for our GOTV efforts in support of McCain/Palin/Gilmore and our Congressional Candidates!!

Click here to see what Victory center is near you.

Do not let yourself wake up in the morning on November 5th with Barack Obama in the White House and Mark Warner in the Senate, wondering if you could have done more.

So what are you waiting for? Time is running out.

Charlottesville Daily Progress Endorses Jim Gilmore!

Sometimes support comes from the places you least suspect it, like the daily newspaper in the most liberal city in the Commonwealth of Virginia!

Charlottesville Daily Progress
This year’s top voter concern, no surprise, is the economy. And on that measure, Mr. Gilmore’s principles and, yes, even his well-known stubbornness will better serve Virginia in the U.S. Senate.

I wonder how many totally uninformed people out there will be voting for Mark Warner, thinking he’s John Warner. My guess is 1-3%.

After seeing all these great Sarah Palin rallies around Virginia, it's too bad that she couldn't have promoted dying Jim Gilmore more. McCain and Palin are going to need a Senate and House that will work with them... not some hostile entity that all they can do is veto everything sent to them. Can you imagine Mark Warner supporting anything McCain and Palin want to accomplish during their administration?

Imagine an Barak Obama & Joe Biden back in the Senate and way more hostile than ever...with a Mark Warner ally...

It's too bad that at none of the rallies could I see that Jim Gilmore was supported nor promoted...

I watched the Gilmore/Warner debate and:
Gilmore is for drill here, drill now, pay less and even ANWAR.
Mark Warner is not.
Gilmore supports all the energy technologies.
Warner wants to study and fund studies of alternnatives.
Jim Gilmore was against the bailout and any future bailouts.
Mark Warner is for the bailouts and future bailouts. Blames the Republicans for the Fannie-Freddie mess.
Gilmore is for winning the war and coming home vistoriously
Warner is for cut & ruun and timetable to bring troops home in months.
Gilmore may not be the Bob Marshall we would have liked, but he is also not the RINO some make him out to be.
At least Jim Gilmore would not be a RINO country club liberal John Warner was.
Mark Warner is for big government and is a proven pro-trial lawyers anti-tort-reform.

Jim Gilmore needs our prayers. God does still work miracles.Mark Warner is pro-abortion.
Jim Gilmore is pro-life and honors God. Perhaps, God will honor him.

we have a strong organization in Virginia

You're kidding right? Is Gilmore even running a campaign? It's even worse than McCain's and that's saying a lot. Gilmore is so far behind there is no chance that he will even come close. Anything done at this point is a waste of time and money. Move along people, nothing to see here.

"it's too bad that she couldn't have promoted dying Jim Gilmore more."

The bottom line is, if McCain is going to win VA, many of those people that are going to vote for Warner are going to need to vote for McCain. I think many will. Palin wouldn't do any good by alienating those voters. On the other side of the coin, Warner is counting on people that will vote for McCain to vote for him. Notice how Warner has kept his distance from Hussein? By watching this election, I wouldn't even know what party Warner belongs to. If Hussein were so popular in VA, why wouldn't Warner want to ride in on his 'coat tails'? Easy answer. There are no 'coat tails' for Hussein, because he isn't as popular in VA as all of the liberal media and loaded polls would have us believe, and Warner knows it.
