This corrected a miconception my me (and probably others) who thought that Obama’s plan would let ALL the Bush tax cuts expire, effectively increasing taxes across the board.

Even so, this analysis clearly shows how McCain’s plan is better for everyone as well as the economy.

It’s just too bad that facts and data like this can form the basis of the election instead of media hype and sound-bite rhetoric.

You didn't have a misconception. You were right in your thinking from the beginning. It is the people who wrote the article who are making assumptions in the baseline for their calculations.

But, when it comes to the democrats, and Obama especially, there is no doubt that the Bush tax cuts will be allowed to expire. They, the democrats and Obama, have been trashing those cuts ever since they were enacted. The history of Obama and the democrats says that they are not tax cutters, and they certainly are not spending cutters. They want the additional tax revenues from the expiration of the Bush tax cuts so that they can spend that money elsewhere, including in their "redistribution of the wealth".

So, it all amounts to Obama and the democrats lying about tax cuts in order to get elected.
