I had to heavily edit this piece, because it's Wash Po and you have to be registered. There's negative fig leaves in the entire article, but the point is- although the media print all this "drag on ticket stuff" they don't believe it. She's their worst nightmare.

Go ask CBS/NYT. They seem to have an obsession with Palin. Sick obsession...They are scared of her, just like Reagan.

Wow... same day New York Times says Sarah hurts GOP. Washington Post says she's electrified the GOP ticket. They must not have coordinated their assault. LOL!

correction to your headline: the “WashPo” did not “admit” anything in this column

This is an OPINION piece by one guy, Eugene Robinson

It in no way represents any official stance of the paper, it’s one guy

This is a pet peeve of mine, I can’t count how many times various FReepers say “wow, the NY Times said THAT?” or “look the WaPo just agreed with us, finally”

Opinion columns are just that, opinion pieces, generally by one person or sometimes two...... they are not masthead editorials making some official statement for the paper.

I think the only reason they are writing stuff like this now is because their initial plan to diminish her obviously didn’t work, and they realize that to continue to do that just make them look like idiots, even to Democrats.

I thought Palin was a lightweight; she's not. I thought she was an ingenue; she is, but only as long as her claws are sheathed. I thought she was bewildered and star-struck...; if she ever was, she isn't anymore. I thought she was nothing but raw political talent and unrealistic ambition; it turns out that she has impressive political skills. I thought she was destined to become nothing more than a historical footnote; I now think that Democrats underestimate her at their peril........

Anybody who thought any of these thing wasn't paying attention to Palin. It was obvious from the first minutes of her convention speech that Palin is a political natural and a star - she will be the face of the GOP going forward, she will continue to drive the left into a frenzy of impotent hatred, and she will be sworn in as president in 4 or 8 years.

Even if McCain doesn't win this election, Republicans owe him an enormous debt of gratitude for giving Palin this shot - without Palin's rise the GOP could be facing 4 years out of power with the likes of tired hacks like Huckabee and Romney as the only possibilities for 2012.

That is the difference.

Palin's have a sense of electricity.

And Biden's have a sense of ennui, sheer boredom, wonkishness and drear, all the while waiting for the next serious gaffe.

Sarah Palin is a leader. She’s not a community organizer; she’s not a mediater; she is a leader.

This guy is such an a**hole. Talk about back handed compliments. He admits she’s a force to be reckoned with, but then paints her as a power mad diva who demanded all those fancy clothes. What nonsense. She’s nothing if not a team player. She went out of her way to defend Nicole Wallace in the WSJ article yesterday. She wouldn’t point the figure at anyone in the campaign.

The guy admits to her electricity, but he thinks she’s an idiot when it come to policy. While some may disagree, remember that he says he disagrees with her across the board.

He hates the way she is electrifying the crowd, undeniably the party.

Oh he’ll pay here some vacant compliments, but this stooge will sooner or later be back to attack her with every ounce of his energy.

To hell with dumb a—es like this.

All the Palin’s-an-idiot is typical lib/Dem propaganda they use on every Pubbie. Of course Palin was behind the curve for a while on a lot of inside Washington folderol. Heck, she’s been governing a state for two years not palling around with the usual beltway morons. No governor, unless they’ve been in Washington as part of an admin or elected official, can possibly know all the ins and outs. Palin is a fast learner, but far more important she understands what makes the country tick.

Let’s see, good looking. Poised, confident, intelligent, a great speaker and I’d bet the farm Saracuda could kick either Biden or obammas ass in a fair fight.

The Washington Post must think Obama's going to win - and their putting out a little "fairness" to try to salvage MSM damaged reputation. Well, IT'S TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE.
