Gun purchase glitch raises questions

Delaware State Police stopped Alvina Vansickle from purchasing a .22-caliber pistol for self-defense because she was too old and a woman, said Superintendent Col. Thomas MacLeish. The outrage that followed led to the revelation that Delaware State Police had been keeping lists of gun buyers for years; state law requires them to destroy these records after 60 days.

Wow, a gun purchase denied not only due to discrimintory age reasons, but because of sexism, tracked on lists that are illegal. Nice!

Any who think the government destroys, or otherwise does not keep records of gun ownership is in denial.

Me? I've sold all my guns, with the exception of a BB gun that I keep to plink at tin cans.

Too bad Alvina didn’t get a nice $3500 over/under.

I’d forbid someone from buying a .22 for self defense too.

Since no one showed up and started the cops are good line here it is.

Yes the cops are good they are looking out for this old lady by searching their ILLEGAL RECORDS to make sure she is not selling guns to punks in NYC. They also would like to assure you that after you are killed by some little piece of $hit that broke into her home and raped and killed her that they will be there faithfully to take pictures and write the report./s

If the NRA is serious about protecting our rights they need to filing a court action TODAY and sueing the $hit out of the State and the individuals involved under Title 18.

Bunch of out of control fascist - yes I mean fascist.

Me too. I wish I could afford to buy a gun. That big safe in my office is empty except for my stamp and coin collection.

I like this part the best.

“Enter the NRA.” Looks like the goa is AWOL again.

By the way, Jeff Cooper was still teaching defensive firearm past eighty years old. That’s a picture of him with my son on the profile page.

Really? I have dispatched many a critter with a 22. Get a 22 inside the skull and it does interesting things. Another little thing that is not widely known is that under the right circumstance a 22 will penetrate a level 2 vest.

Fascist is the correct term for the left. They fit all the attributes required of fascism.

And, as a bonus, if you can make the case well, you can see lib heads spin around and explode as they vehemently deny their fascism.

I might consider it if they go after this case. This is EXACTLY the type of thing they need to attacking and making as much noise as they can about. “Grandma cannot buy a gun to protect herself in her own home because the police are keeping illegal records”.

You’re right, but I’d still rather have a little more on my side. For someone like this lady, who probably doesn’t get much range time, something like a .38 revolver would be a no brainer to use and have more punch with little recoil. I didn’t make the comment to be dead serious, and I’m sure there’s a lot more opinions out there.
