About one week until the general election for the President of the United States. I'd like to revisit the above quote by Obama.
There has been a lot of hay made about comments in the past week about his Socialist agenda as it relates to a PBS audiotape from 2001 where he states, "...the Warren Court, it wasn't that radical. It didn't break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as it's been interpreted and Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties."
Somehow... somehow we keep seeing this drivel from a self-proclaimed Socialist and somehow... SOMEHOW it keeps slipping between the cracks of the mainstream media's sidewalk. A sidewalk whose cracks have become so deep and wide that any opinion outside their specific agenda is swallowed up and replaced with a pseudo-truth or outright lie. There are journalists in this country old enough to remember the shame that would have been felt by their predecessors for taking part in such blatant fabrications. There are those still in the media that remember or have at least heard of the Pravda and other Socialist, Marxist or Communist attempts to shape public opinion. They themselves are making attempts to promote a political agenda and they are either now a large part of these obfuscations or are personally and willfully perpetrating them.
But they now have no shame. We tend to forget that one of the tenets of Communism is that, "The ends justify the means".
The first quote in this article appeared in the media back in May of this year. It was talked about briefly and dismissed as nothing to worry our stupid little conservative heads about. It spoke not only of economic equivelancy here in the United States, but America's economic equivelancy abroad. It is such a far-reaching statement that Obama should have been disqualified in the hearts of true Americans in May, yet here we are as a Nation just a few short days before the election mulling over which lever we will pull.
1. FREEDOM - to live in a society with many challenges but without economic restraints.
2. SOCIALISM - where what we earn will be taken from us and given to whomever the government sees fit. "From each according to his ability to each according to his need."
The left-wing Democrats believe they know better how to raise your children, feed your face and spend your money than you do. Yet they live immoral and greedy existences passing judgement on the "lower classes".
There's a lot of folks out there who say we true conservatives; the God-fearing, freedom-loving, tax-paying conservatives are afraid for no reason. That, as one ill-informed and frankly ignorant writer stated, "They mean well, but they are easily spooked." We, my friend, are "spooked' for good reason. I am afraid for good reason. I was born to a father that really didn't care whether his children or their mother were fed or cared for. I was raised in a family where we were not handed anything on a silver platter and went to a school where I was allowed to be an under-achiever. I graduated with no real skills and where my highest aspiration was that I would simply not grow up to be homeless. I started with nothing and was thereby allowed to make the right or wrong choices, to stand or fail on my own merit by my own achievements or lack thereof. I made mistakes and took dead end jobs... I bought things I could not afford and eventually paid back every cent. As a result, I made less mistakes and sought better jobs... and I learned to buy only what I could afford. I chose a good wife and had three great kids... we've lived in small houses and bought beater cars for cash. We've done all this so that we could choose to live where our family would be safe and so that we could provide for them what they need. And we have not asked for, nor have we received government assistance to do so!
Believe me; if Obama is telling the truth about his tax plan, and there's no reason to believe he is it would be many, many years before I would have to worry about it. But that is just not the point. If the brand of Socialism that Snake-Oil salesman is peddling comes to our shores, you can bet we will all be starting at the bottom with no HOPE... there's that word... for any better. We will all be under-achievers because there will be nothing to strive for.
You're darn right I'm afraid. I'm afraid for our country. I'm afraid for my job. I'm afraid for our future. And I'm afraid for my children. I don't know if they will know or understand the weight of our fear by the time they grow up. If the country continues on its current track, I don't know that they will know anything different. But I know and you know, and I want to save them from it. You should want the same thing for yourself, your country and your children.
But you better know this: if you walk into the voting booth next week and vote for Barack Hussein Obama you have made a mistake of phenomenal proportions. You will help to destroy one of the greatest nations God has ever seen fit to bless... and you will probably live to regret it.
Scare tactics? Absolutely.
Am I serious? You betcha!
In closing, I'll leave you with this with a quote from a previous writing from May 18, 2008 because it's very relevant to the situation.
"I AM OUTRAGED that this elitist moron (Barack Hussein Obama) would sit in his seat of elevated capacity and thumb his nose at the people of America!!! For all the men and women who have sacrificed to make this great country what it is I would no more flush their blood down the toilet by voting for this elitist moron than I would cut off my own arms.
I, for one would not vote for this elitist moron if he were promising the cure for cancer in exchange for the honor of being President of these United States. After all, what good is life without freedom?"

Sounds like John Kerry’s Global test applied across the board.
Thing is 72 degrees isn’t all that warm for an elderly person or a small child.
And another thing is, I don’t need some ** in a multi-million dollar house and a $3000 suit telling me where to set my thermostat!
Whenever these type of people get into power they strive to “equalize” everyone else while they wallow in luxury.
If Obama and his wife were willing to give up their house, their expensive clothes their salaries all to the poor, I might think that he actually meant what he said about redistribution of wealth. Alas, Barack Obama cares about no one except...Barack Obama. Spoiled, rich kid syndrome.
I totally agree... I might think he meant it, but I would still say he’s not fit to flip burgers at McDonalds.
Why does Saddam Hussein come to my mind?
You know what, if I can afford to, and choose to spend my hard-earned income that way, then I should be able to. It is called freedom, it is called choice. No socialist wanna-be a-hole should be able to tell me I can't. Not in the US of A.
