“commended for keeping quiet” Is he kidding. I think Bush should be vilified for his keeping quiet on this and many other things his second term. I feel betrayed by Bush and blame the possibility of this commie BO even having the opportunity of winning this election.
I voted for Bush in 2004 and got Kerry anyway.
When we needed Bush to fight he failed.
Sorry but it’s the truth!!!!
self ping for later readin
TROLL ALERT!!!
If you protect ‘murcans against attack for eight years, and then allow the disloyal opposition to take power, an opposition thoroughly infiltrated by exactly the people you’ve been fighting the last eight years, have you done us any favors?
George Bush could never see the big picture. That the wars in th’Iraq, th’Afghanistan, the mexican border war, and the leftist demorat party were all interconnected. You had to fight them all or none of it was worth spit.
Granpa Dave,
I was agreeing with the article and, frankly, am a little bewildered why the Bush administration didn’t get the word out on their success in finding yellow cake (by a wide margin) in Iraq.
Vote for John McCain/Sarah Palin on 4 November.
I think they wanted to get it safely out of Iraq first. I was on vacation for 3 weeks in July so I missed this story the first time around and you can be sure the MSM didn’t report it. The GOP should shout it from the rooftops now though.
>..the president kept mum about the discovery in order to keep terrorists in the dark.<
Bush’s keeping “mum” about Iraq and other matters resulted in the deep hatred that his detractors feel for him which, in turn, may result in admitting another terrorist to the WH. What is worse — Al Qaeda or Al Obama?
How on Earth does it enhance national security for an American President to purposefully allow himself to become politically hamstrung and downright hated at home and around the world?
It's difficult to chalk up to conspiracy what can easily be explained by incompetence.
How did this not get much more play?
National Security and the danger of this discovery being discovered by Islamo terrorists was why this massive discovery was kept secret.
Recently a hijacked ship was apparently loaded with radio active sand/dirt and was probably meant to be a dirty floating bomb for Israel.
National security is not a joke. There are about a hundred of us, who post on this board, who will never tell our spouses, sons/daughters, siblings and friends what we did in the military and maybe afterwards because of National Security.
For some of us, our last exposures to “stuff” happened over 20-40 years ago. We will go to our graves and not disclose what we were “exposed to.”
Some things are more important then political power.
Like the lives of our troops. One can only imagine the type of bloody battle that may have taken place over an exposed WMD site between our troops and insurgents/Al Qaeda/Foreign Fighters.
Why is it our troops continue to go back and want to finish the job?
Because they know what President Bush and Congress knows, that we did the right thing. The time will come when the truth will come out and all those that stood by and Blamed Bush will be vilified for what they knew and when they knew it.
I can wait and so can our troops, they know better.
I guess I came across the wrong way - or you guys didn’t read what I wrote with enough prudence.
As for the national security issues, I have my doubts because GWB refuses to secure the borders. He had to be forced to appoint a traditionalist to the supreme court. He allowed the Republicans to lose the House and the Senate in 2006. So, are we sure he cares?
Well, I’m voting for John McCain BECAUSE of Sarah Palin.
It’s not like it was ever a secret....just the DNC media wants to beat the NO WMDs drum as long as they can....

Granpa Dave,
I served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years - I retired in September 2004... I’m telling you this because I am a patriot and I do not want anyone to mistake me for some troll.
I’m merely saying that some of the things the Bush administration did and still do troubles me.
The thing I find very odd is that right after the invasion there were a number of stories about unguarded, unsecured nuclear sites in Iraq where people were carting stuff away. So why did it take five years to move this yellow cake to a safer location?
Good for you!
I wouldn’t tell either.
I’ve gotten myself into too much trouble in the past with leaking to someone I thought would NEVER tell. HA!
It’s a discipline.....keeping some very important things, only to myself.
(( ping ))
I have seen some of those reports, at least I would not be surprised that they came from Britain since our press doesn’t report it. They have been sparse with long periods of time in between, but you are right. They have been out there.
It’s really sad that our media has chosen to front for terrorists, and the nations who would destroy us if only they could.
Our media players are essentially traitors. I don’t say that lightly. They do things that would lead to the destruction of our nation, if they weren’t countered. And not all of it can be.
