I’ll also add that there’s no reason to believe that the 10-20% of German Jews who refused to leave Germany didn’t stay because they liked Hitler or felt they could create a “rapprochement.” I think you just made that up. If Hitler came to power in the US, I think you’d find that a lot of good people would rather die than leave their country behind.

And if a Hitleresque person rose to power in the U.S. with popular support, what the heck do you think you could do to stop him here?

I’d get myself and my family out of here - and the 90% of the Jews you mentioned earlier felt the same way in the 1930’s about Germany.

You can’t argue two sides of the same argument.
