I think that is urban legend. The person they name as her grandfather isn’t her grandfather.

I've never heard that Sarah Palin has any Jewish ancestry...but her name is half Jewish (her first name).

She wouldn't be the first Vice President with a Jewish given name...we've had an Aaron, a Daniel, and a Levi, plus the names John and James are derived from Jewish names (James from Jacob).

As I understand it, she was born and baptized a Roman Catholic but raised as a Pentecostal Christian. I've don't think that there is a Jewish connection.
