At the U.N., Many Hope for an Obama Win (Barf Alert)

UNITED NATIONS -- There are no "Obama 2008" buttons, banners or T-shirts visible here at U.N. headquarters, but it might be difficult to find a sliver of territory in the United States more enthusiastic over the prospect of the Illinois senator winning the White House.

An informal survey of more than two dozen U.N. staff members and foreign delegates showed that the overwhelming majority would prefer that Sen. Barack Obama win the presidency, saying they think that the Democrat would usher in a new agenda of multilateralism after an era marked by Republican disdain for the world body.

Obama supporters hail from Russia, Canada, France, Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Indonesia and elsewhere. One American employee here seemed puzzled that he was being asked whether Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) was even a consideration. "Obama was and is unstoppable," the official said. "Please, God, let him win," he added.

"It would be hard to find anybody, I think, at the U.N. who would not believe that Obama would be a considerable improvement over any other alternative," said William H. Luers, executive director of the United Nations Association. "It's been a bad eight years, and there is a lot of bad feeling over it."

Conservatives who are skeptical of the United Nations said they are not surprised by the political tilt. "The fact is that most conservatives, most Republicans don't worship at the altar in New York, and I think that aggravates them more than anything else," said John R. Bolton, a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. "What they want is the bending of the knee, and they'll get it from an Obama administration."

Yes, it would be a real shame to see Communism prevail in a Presidential election in America....darn, the terrorists, dictators, criminals, America-haters, third-world scum holes, and commies of the UN will just have to find another way to take down America --- other than through a Manchurian Candidate.....such a shame.

...they think that the Democrat would usher in a new agenda of multilateralism...

Yeah. Not to mention a new agenda of raising taxes on Americans to spread the wealth around globally.

The UN wants our money and BO will give it to them - after all “it’s fair”.

On Nov. 5th after Palin/McCain wins I'm going to celebrate by heading to the local range and blasting .45 caliber holes in UN flag targets with my Colt 1911.

....can’t aliens at the UN vote in the state of New York?

Anyway - here are some other people who’d be happy for an Obama victory:

The Iranians
Al Queda
The Syrians
Hugo Chavez
The Nation of Islam

These are people who speak of "multilateralism" as if it were an end unto itself. And what, pray, do they intend to do with it?

Not much, actually, beside arrogate to themselves a veto for American foreign policy. For these people the process is an end unto itself because it enriches them, and an end to that process - say, peace somewhere - is actually counterproductive to their continued reception of largesse.

What they would like that would enhance the largesse considerably is an international tax to benefit any number of noble purposes - the environment, poverty, "peace" studies - and which, naturally, would lead to a healthy cut off the top for the noble administrators. And, in the true style of socialists everywhere, would be levied on the rich and transferred to those who may claim successfully to not being rich. And there are a lot of poor people in $1000 suits driving Mercedes-Benzes with diplomatic plates.

So a renewed enthusiasm for internationalism and multilateralism may not be quite as benign as it might appear. The boys and girls at the UN know where the money is.

Without any doubt — and another look at the global warming scam, as well. Obama intends to BUY FAVORITISM FOR HIS SOCIALIST AMERICA with our tax dollars which he already is trying to increase, along with his criminal accomplices in the Congress. The only people he is fooling, is the stupid half of the American public that believe his lies and his weasel words (CHANGE, HOPE) which mean nothing.
