Pro-Life Leader: Election Could Undo Every Victory on Abortion in 35 Years

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- One of the top pro-life leaders in the country says every victory the pro-life movement has accomplished on the issue of abortion could be undone depending on the results of the election. With pro-abortion Barack Obama and John McCain, who opposes abortion, the fate of abortion may be sealed for decades.

"It is literally do or die in the political arena for the unborn, for our nation, and for our entire pro-life movement," Father Frank Pavone says in a new letter to pro-life advocates.

"It will be too late for you to make a difference politically for God’s unborn innocents the day after Election Day," he says in an encouragement to pro-life advocates to work diligently to support the pro-life cause before November 4.

Pavone says he's discouraged that pro-life groups across the country are struggling to get donations to push the pro-life cause before the election while the pro-abortion side is spending millions.

"Making matters worse, the enemy is flush with cash. Planned Parenthood – the nation’s number one provider of abortions – reported that donations have quintupled since Labor Day," he said.

So what is at stake if Obama becomes the nation's next president, according to Pavone?

"If abortion zealots win at the polls, they will seek to undo every single pro-life victory we have won over the past twenty years," he explains. "And I mean everything: the ban on partial birth abortion, the “Born-Alive Infants Protection Act," the “Unborn Victims of Violence Act,” parental consent laws, informed consent laws and more."

That happens because Obama has promised Planned Parenthood the first bill he will sign as president is the Freedom of Choice Act, a measure that would make unlimited abortions any time in pregnancy a national law and invalidate any law to reduce abortions.

"Abortion extremists vow they will pass the diabolical Freedom of Choice Act the moment they take power," Pavone explains. "That one law will undo all your hard work and set back our movement’s entire legislative progress."

"To make matters worse, they will pack the Supreme Court with like-minded abortion judges who will cement Roe v Wade and keep legalized abortion-on-demand the law of the land for generations to come," Pavone adds.

"This is why the 2008 Election is a DO OR DIE moment for the babies," the pro-life leader says.

Despite the potentially grim outlook in the polls, Pavone is urging pro-life advocates not to give up the fight because there is still time to push the pro-life battle forward.

"Nothing is going to deter us. We are all that stand between the unborn and certain death," he says.

"Now is the moment for action. Tomorrow will be too late," Pavone says in encouraging pro-lifers. "Hold nothing back. This is your final chance make a difference."

“Pro-Life Leader: Election Could Undo Every Victory on Abortion in 35 Years.”

Actually, this election has the potential to undo just about every conservative victory on just about everything for the past thirty-five years....

Actually, I read the last chapter in the Bible. Jesus still wins in the end.

I also took a peak at how persecution works and saw Islamofascist videos of what it's like to have your head cut off or your throat cut.

Whatever happens, we're in God's hands.

I sincerely prefer St Bosco’s vision of the Two Pillars where a great calm happens over the entire world:

For those who missed Palin with Dr. Dobson, audio here: http://www.citizenlink.org/dailybroadcast/A000008476.cfm

They talk about abortion/life a bit.

SirKit already told me that if he sees an Obama bumper sticker on a car in our Parish parking lot, that he’s gonna stop, kneel down, and pray for the souls of the owners, cause they are seriously deluded.

“What political issue could possibly outweigh this human devastation” of 40 million deaths through abortion? “The answer, of course, is that there is none. … It is time to put away the arguments of political spin masters that only serve to justify abortion killing. We have heard a great deal this year about the need for change. But at the same time we are told that one thing cannot change – namely, the abortion regime of Roe vs. Wade.

“It is time that we demand real change, and real change means the end of Roe vs. Wade.”
