Unfortunately, Glendale has been trending leftward since the 1990’s. The 40th Assembly District doesn't include Glendale (roughly, it covers the majority of the territory between the 101 and 118 freeways, west of the 405... VanNuys, Northridge, etc).

The seat voted low 40’s GOP in 02 and 04.
Such a split actually makes it one of the more competitive seats.
