Regardless of what happens in two weeks, we do need fresh blood. I thought our best chances in 2008 was to run against the leadership of Pelosi / Reid for managing the worst Congress ever. However the GOP leadership told me to forget about it and just wait for a recession to happen under the Dems. With the prospect of a scenerio happening, the same “brillant” leadership isn’t interested in doing anything. Its as if the GOP leadership lose all energy after 2004.

Bombastic and fearlessness are needed, but its easy to act that way when the media shills for you. Its quite a different story when the media tears you down when you question the holy saints of liberalism. This election is not aobut McCain vs Obama. Its about the liberal media vs the alternative media. The liberal media wants to show talk radio that they have more influence and power than Rush and Hannity.

Given what happened to Curt Weldon, Sarah Palin, and Michelle of MN-06, future conservative leaders may be intimidated to act boldly.

What’s amazing is that the public isn’t apparently aware the DEMOCRATS are in control of Congress.

I thought our best chances in 2008 was to run against the leadership of Pelosi / Reid for managing the worst Congress ever. However the GOP leadership told me to forget about it and just wait for a recession to happen under the Dems.

And the fault is of Republican leadership (or is that an oxymoron?) in Congress and of John McCain who kept (keeps?) running against Bush (who has 3-4 times approval of Congress) with commercials like "Are you better off than 4 (four!) years ago?" Now, how "mavericky" does one have to be before he gets this thrown right back in his face, as well as undermine the Congress-critters of his own party (not that he ever cared about the latter)?

BillyBoy, thanks for "spreading" the concept, I hope more FReepers copy and paste the "banner" and/or bring it to attention of local GOP candidates' office. It's such a no-brainer! Even if Republican leadership doesn't mind for country and conservatism to go down the drain in another attempt to "win by losing" (2006 didn't register with them yet?) and losing even more of their own power which will be further eroded by unopposed judicial appointments and even more empowered liberal media, the candidates in generally conservative states and districts could easily do this by themselves. All they need is this type of banner, with 3 faces - Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid on the sides, and picture of smiling "conservative" Democrat in the middle.

There is absolutely no reason (other than utter incompetence) for Republicans not to have a solid majority in the House, and almost super-majority in the Senate (about 30 Republican Pres states)...
