Ok, I get your point. But what’s winning an election got to do with a dying grandmother ? If John McCain’s mother who is what, 96, fell ill and he left the campaign trail to attend to her, can you imagine how crazy people would go here if the libs at Daily Kos said it was a campaign ploy ?
I just saw a tv report that says she’s about to die. Everything else about Obama can be on the table, but a death of a relative should be offlimits.
Attack his stance on abortion, the economy or whatever you want but in this matter I think Freepers should be showing a little compassion, that’s all.

If John McCain waited 4 days to finally go see his dying grandmother, The Main Street Media, let alone the Daily Kos, would be all over the effort to portray him as a heartless S.O.B.
If she is about to die, why is he waiting until late Thursday to go see her? He could be there in 6-7 hours in his campaign plane. I doubt that she is as close to death as they would have you believe, or he wouldn't be waiting so long to go.
That being said, we should keep her in our prayers. She was just released from the hospital, so there is no question that she has been sick. (Strange how he never went to see her in the hospital, though, isn't it?)
