CBSNews ^

(CBS) Countering new criticism of Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, Gov. Matt Blunt, R-Mo., called her the "perfect candidate" for his state.

"I can take Sarah Palin to my Stratford hometown or any community in our state and she would immediately connect with people," Blunt said on CBS News' Face The Nation. "She understands the real world. She understands the struggles that ordinary families face. She is the type of person we need in Washington, D.C. She's a proven reformer. And she's been a great help in Missouri, as we move forward this campaign."

Blunt was responding to statements made by former Secretary of State Colin Powell, who served in the Bush administration but endorsed Democratic Barack Obama on Sunday.

I like Gov. Blunt, but I heard he’s not running for re-election. I wonder why.

I don’t know much about that Gov, but good on him for having the guts to defend Palin.

“I mean, there have been several examples of John McCain's bad judgment, Sarah Palin being the top of the list, as far as choices are concerned,” she told host Bob Schieffer.

Wasserman Schultz also said Palin has “really disturbed” the Jewish community in Florida, despite the fact that she is strong on Israel.

Of course, Wasserman-Schultz puts her anti-Semite party interests ahead of the best interests of Israel. It boggles my mind that any Israel-loving Jew could support Nobama. I just do not get it.

Oh, and Debbie, have you seen the crowds showing up for Palin in Florida?

I really hate Democrats. They are such liars and thieves.

Blunt got caught up in some third rate scandal as I recall.

He is a good man.

Too good for the dirty game of politics. He just didn’t like how the game is played.

Missouri, and the Nation’s loss.

Blount was immediately arrested by the Missouri state thought police.

Because he would have been beaten like a rented mule, and he knew it. He's spent his four years in office alienating just about everyone.

Like a recent placcard said at the Lancaster, PA or other recent Campaign stop: “Trig Palin for First Baby!”

I'll take more “bad judgment” like that anytime. Man they are afraid of her.

And Wasserman whatever is the most unqualified and ugly female politician ever. Pure envy she has for Gov. Palin.

You should see what we have to endure here in Southern Illinois from jerks who call themselves journalists. This is an example from the Jg-Tc newspaper today, Charleston, Illinois:

She's hot too.

Put a red miniskirt on her, keep the boots and she'd be perfect
for the new Star Trek movie coming out (next summer?).

Even Mr. Spock would get a bit excited over her.

Rural Missourians have had it with the likes of Democratic Senator McCaskill and Congressman Ike Skelton.

You can bet Obama’s in Missouri because he's way behind in the polls. The 100,000 people rally was a farce. The more Obama does this the more rural Missourians are going to get out the vote.

The Money Machine is behind Obama and all of us Joe The Plumbers are sick and tired of working for these clowns that have made profits from our hard work to support a socialist like Obama.

I want freedom and the right to follow my dreams. To be an American as our founding Fathers intended and not Big Government telling me what do to!

God Bless America!

I just laugh when Dems say McCain made a mistake picking Palin. If they really thought that, they would love her!
