By whom? Who is going to arrest them? Years from now, when the books are written...we will see how GW Bush truly was the worst President in US history. Not so much for what he did..but for what he didn't do.
“GW Bush truly was the worst President in US history”
There’s much to criticize about GWB, but:
a) If Al Gore rather than GWB had been in the WH on 9/11, there would be no US military presence in the Middle East;
b) The execution could have been far better, but in the short term, the war in Iraq eradicated a real menace whose acquisition of nuclear weapons would have been at least as dangerous as Ahmadinejad’s.
c) Without GWB’s stubbornness, the “surge” never would have even been tried, much less succeeded.
d) As with Truman, it may take decades, but history ultimately will judge GWB’s choice to start and win a war in Iraq as the turning point that culminated in a far more stable Middle East.
e) Not doing anything (looking the other way) might well be a very sensible strategy as the Israelis preemptively eliminate the Iran nuclear threat sometime prior to Jan. 20, 2009.
On several occasions different socialists have purported that same position, yet by no means do I find it justified. There are a number of issues upon which I disagree with his past policy and of all parties in the government, I would agree this Presidency has failed to make the American people understand the presence of US forces in Iraq and beyond over the past 5 years. To these accusations I might find basis to accuse Bush, but IMHO, he is far from the worst President in US history.
IMHO, a better charge might be leveled against FDR, JFK, LBJ, or Grover Cleveland, not to mention Hamilton or Buchanan in regards to American history.
That is an incomprehensively stupid statement. Jimmy Carter. James Buchanan. Warren Harding. Herbert Hoover. All worse. Bush has done stupid things, grant you, and definitely deserves a spot in the bottom 25%. But worse? I expect more from a Freeper of 10 years standing.
