To: Tax-chick

It has long been one of the arguments against socialism that it won’t work because, as the state takes from the earners and gives to the takers, the earners lose incentive to earn and eventually ‘switch sides’ until there are no more earners, only takers.

Why are people unable to see the accuracy of a truism when it is presented? (Bang head against wall.)

Because they want "the world as it should be" instead of the one we've got.
