Sleepwalking Towards a Cultural Revolution
The American Spectator ^ | October 15, 2008 | George Neumayr

He's "not necessarily" for women drafted into combat and not necessarily against it. Likewise, he's not necessarily for gay marriage and not necessarily against it. Shouldn't McCain ask the American people during Wednesday's debate if they want the last stages of social revolution?

That's what they will get. The triumvirate of Obama, Pelosi and Reid means national gay marriage, an expanded culture of women in combat, and much more. The first hundred days under Bill Clinton were pretty ridiculous, full of outlandish comments and false starts toward radicalism. But they will look tame in comparison to Obama's.

The Democrats will finally be able to fully corrupt the only govt institution that continues to function, the US Military.

Excellent point that social issues have taken a back seat on the McCain campaign bus, save for Sarah Palin’s strong talk on abortion.

Have McCain and Company concluded that the nation no longer cares about these things? Or is it that he doesn’t care enough?

I’m still hopeful and prayerful that McCain will win. But as days go by, he reminds me more and more of Bob Dole, another man whose decades in the Senate sapped him of any fighting spirit and instead gave him a deep desire to compromise on everything.

Too late. They did that from 93-01.

No, America is NOT tilting left-ward. The majority of Americans are honest, hard working conservative, God-fearing folks. The problem has been ineffectual communication on our side along with a history of punting when it comes to pop-culture.
Many can be reached with serious discussions conerning facts, while others need to be persuaded with a velvet hammer. South Park is a prime example of a way to reach the masses through entertainment with humor and a message. I am a “draw-er” (I refuse to call myself an artist) and am brainstorming with my partner on ways to enrich myself as well as have an effect on pop-culture with my work.
America is NOT a lost cause, however, our archane methods of expressing Conservative ideals is. We need to update our methods, focus our message and bring Conservaism into the 21st Century (not by watering down what it means to be Conservative, but by refusing to let our enemies define us). CONSERVATIVE UP!

“But they will look tame in comparison to Obama’s.”

Yes, they certainly will.
