Only one I can find so far:

General Wesley Clark USA (ret) Parents initially named him Lesley until a nurse said “no look, there it is”...

Brigadier General Wes Clark, USAF (Ret.)

That's a bit of a surprise --- he must be one of the most prominent PUMAs. The present Wikipedia article quotes him as saying in 2003: "I realized I was either going to be the loneliest Republican in America or I was going to be a happy Democrat."

It doesn't look like the happy honeymoon lasted all that long.

The scary thing to me are the few military who support the dems. The dems have never once did anything for the military except get in the way! Vietnam vet 1965-1969 and didn’t like dems back then either and have never seen any reason to change!

Different Clark. Wesley Clark was a four star army “general”, not in the air force and not a brigadier general

PX Kelly
General Kelley was promoted to the rank of general and assumed duties as Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps and Chief of Staff on July 1, 1981. He assumed his present office as Commandant of the Marine Corps on July 1, 1983.

Kelly started CENTCOM, pulled two tours in the ‘NAm and was award the broze star With V device.

Super guy.

Gen. J.B. Davis (Zoomie of note and WBFP)
worked undr this man twice - super leader
“ he has been inducted into the Order of the Sword, which is the highest honor noncommissioned officers can bestow.”

These two examples from the long list of very distingushed military leaders.

Any other FReepers have other personal experiance with the listed?

Is there a link to this list on the McCain site (I’ve looked and searched around, but not found it, sorry if I am just missing it)? This would be a perfect “positive message” article for emailing out in the viral networking campaign!
