Booed on the ice

Booed on the ice

It's hard to blame Sarah Palin for her booing on the ice in Philadelphia this evening. It's almost a truism of politics that if you send a pol to a sporting event, he's going to get booed. Politicians, as a class, aren't all that popular, and it's what sports fans do. According to legend, Eagles fans once booed Santa Claus. Still, not a great moment.

The Times hockey blog says the boos were "resounding." The Wilmington paper says it was an "avalanche."

Flyers fans booed Santa Claus. What did the McCain/Palin camp think was going to happen when they sent her to that game?

I’ll believe this when we have an independent confirmation. I wouldn’t trust Politico for anything.

Why the F would they send her to Philadelphia? Piss poor judgment. Philadelphia is cesspool of corrupt Democrat machine politics along with a cesspool of fans.

There were cheers too, asswipes!

Sheesh, the lengths the msm goes to, to try and make it appear Palin is SOOOOO unpopular is funny.

After we secede from the US, they will treat us more kindly. Or, they can pay $16/bushel for corn. Maybe we’ll make them pay up even if they are nice.

I want to see the video to make up my own mind on how many boos there were

For all we know these could have been Obama agitators seeded in the crowd

Quite simple really.

Governor Palin has class.

The Flyer fans don’t.

Why don’t we just put her in a plastic bubble? Watch the video of how she handled it. Thank God she’s got more guts than many of our freepers.

When Michael Irvin was carted off on a stretcher with a neck injury they booed him too. That is a time when fans usually wish an opposing player well.

Not in Philly.

sounds like the Obama-centric city of Philly is getting ‘angry’ and ‘mad’ about Palin. Hmmmm. That sounds like a headline on some kind of news organization. somewhere.

I love it that Sarah took on the Philly hockey people. She’s not afraid of these punks. And people here calling it poor judgment to send her there? She can handle it people, just like she could handle being President if need be. Give her some cred.

I think Obama needs to come out and tell his supporters to be more respectful to Gov. Palin.

“...sent her to the game.”

I understand she was invited to the game. It was “hockey mom” night and Sarah is the best known “hockey mom.”
