OHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin attacked Barack Obama on abortion on Saturday, saying the Democratic presidential candidate has "left behind even the middle ground on the issue of life."

Palin said she and Republican presidential candidate John McCain would be "defenders of the culture of life." She opposes abortion in all cases except where the pregnancy threatens the woman's life.

Alaska's governor also touched upon common campaign themes during her speech to about 5,000 supporters in Johnstown, but she focused on children with special needs and then abortion. Palin, whose infant son, Trig, has Down syndrome, said she and McCain would make protecting such children a priority.

"Every child has something to contribute ... if we give them that chance," she said.

I just watched Steve Coates of the Flyers interview Sarah during intermission of tonight’s Flyers game. A great interview, and she came across as warm, spontaneous, and very sincere. And she didn’t talk politics.

Good. Obama's ultra-extreme stance on abortion would horrify 90% of the electorate. ...if they knew about it. Keep gettin the word out, Sarah!

If pro-lifers are serious about protecting the unborn they will do the following:

1) Comb through all voter registrations ( especially Philly and Pittsburgh) and have their lawyers challenge **all** suspicious registrations. They should send out mailings to all voters registered. All mailings that are returned with an “addressee unknown” should be purged from the rolls.

2) Notify all poll workers before the election that if there is any suspected fraud their photos and names will be published nationwide, and they will be prosecuted if suspected of aiding fraud.

3) Before the election identify every Republican voter in the state, and make sure that a pro-lifer is assigned to see that they GET TO THE POLLS TO VOTE!

4) On the day of election have **aggressive** poll watchers that are armed with video and camera. In precincts with past fraudulent activity have polling workers that will warn voters that fraud will be widely publicized and prosecuted.

5) On the day of election have attorneys ready and prepared to challenge any voter fraud. Also have the media ready and prepared to publicize it.

6) After the election identify voter fraud and lobby **vigorously** to have it prosecuted and fully punished.

The Republicans can not do this without being accused of racism and that costs pro-life votes. The Pro-life PACs can and ***should** do the above.

Pennsylvania is a close state. The Democrats ***will** try to steal the election! A stolen election will mean more pro-abortion judges and more abortion deaths.

I heard that they may move one of her appearances to a nascar venue because the crowds are so huge.

I hope the party does not waste/squander their opportunity with their new Godsend, Sarah.
