Decision to teach kids to be 'gay' allowed to stand.
WND ^ | 10/08/08 | Bob Unruh

A federal court decision approving mandatory public school instruction for children as young as kindergarten in how to be homosexual is being allowed to stand, drawing a description of "despicable" from the parent who unsuccessfully challenged his school district's "gay" advocacy agenda.

The U.S. Supreme Court without comment has refused to intervene in a case prompted by the actions of officials at Estabrook Elementary school in Lexington, Mass., who not only were teaching homosexuality to young children, but specifically refused to allow Christian parents to opt their children out of the indoctrination.

The case on which WND has reported previously involves Massachusetts father David Parker, who with his wife now have withdrawn their children from public schools, for which they continue to pay taxes, and are homeschooling.

The decision by the Supreme Court leaves standing the ruling from the appeals court for Massachusetts, where Judge Sandra Lynch said those who are concerned over such civil rights violations "may seek recourse to the normal political processes for change in the town and state."

Earlier District Judge Mark Wolf had ordered that school officials' work to undermine Christian beliefs and teach homosexuality is needed to prepare children for citizenship, and if parents don't like it they can elect a different school committee or homeschool their children.

Maybe it is time to pull the piece out of the closet and work out from under tyranny. The government is no longer representing The People on any issue.

Well, that too, but did anyone there think to file criminal charges against these pedophiles?

I know New Englanders are "soft" on the matter ~ presumably it's a widespread problem, particularly in most of the "best families", but they still have statutes on the books that could be used to haul these perverts away from the shools.

Fine, then refund my property taxes that pay for public indoctrination.

Allowing/teaching homosexually is OK but allowing God/Christianity is banned?

We are truly in the end times....

Gay Pride High School Clears Hurdle

A new high school geared for gay students in Chicago has cleared an important hurdle. It’s one of 18 new schools proposed by the district Wednesday.

Experts say gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender teens are more likely to abuse drugs, drop out of school and commit suicide.

Chicago schools chief Arne Duncan on Wednesday announced he’s backing a plan to provide them a safer environment in a new school.

DUNCAN: We’re looking to create great new options in neighborhoods around the city. The more we empower students and parents to pick the school that best suits them, the better they’re going to do.

But Laurie Higgins of the Illinois Family Institute says the proposed school would misuse public funds.

HIGGINS: It assumes a certain perspective on the nature and morality of homosexuality that taxpayers should not be asked to subsidize.

The proposal has also drawn fire from some gay rights advocates who say the school could isolate the students.

The plan goes before the Board of Education for a vote October 22.

It does no good if the liberal activist judges are just as rotten as the school board.

And if we have a far left POTUS, far left congress AND a far left SCOTUS, we’re screwed not just in MASS.

Strange headline. Given that this is WND, I can’t help but wonder what parts of the story are missing.

This is endemic. We must pray for revival. There is no political solution for this disease.

This is what acceptance of homosexuality gets us, folks. Give an inch, lose a mile. Many on this forum have been painted as hate-filled, homophobic bigots for taking any kind of stand against the pervasive acceptance of an unnatural lifestyle. What is happening in public schools is nothing more than the result of that acceptance.

This sort of segregation violates Brown v. standards. Probably unconstitutional.

There's no evidence whatsoever that assembling all the homosexuals in one spot reduces their suicide incidence.

“...mandatory public school instruction for children as young as kindergarten in how to be homosexual...”

WTF??????????????????

Instruction on “how to be”??????

This can’t be true....

These “teachers” would all be hospitalized by now in my neck of the woods....

The US Supreme Court cannot possibly overturn a ruling that states that parents need to work within their communities to make curriculum changes. Parents also have the option to place their children in private schools, move to a different state or homeschool.

The far-reaching implications of a federal court getting involved in curriculum can be easily seen if one just looks back at the Scopes Evolution Trial. Their ruling that the State of Tenn could not ban the teaching of evolution has been twisted into a belief that there is a requirement to teach evolution.

SCOTUS had no choice but to stay out of this one.
