William Ayers' Role In Obama's Appointment As Annenberg Challenge Chairman

Prepare yourself for a shock — the New York Times article on Barack Obama’s associations with former Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers did not tell the whole story: NY Times Confirms Ayers’ Role in Obama Appointment as Chair of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge.

I can easily understand why some readers may have become confused by the explosion of stories today on the Obama/Ayers relationship.

The partial story of the Ayers/Obama relationship told by the New York Times today is collapsing of its own weight but has likely added to the confusion. Since I am one of the “bloggers” referred to without an explanation in the Times’ story I thought I would summarize the top ten highlights of the current state of play.

It turns out as these ten key points confirm what I have argued all along - that Bill Ayers was responsible for the elevation of Obama to the Chicago Annenberg Challenge board and the New York Times reporting on this story actually supports my conclusion, though inadvertently.

Part of the growing list of reasons why Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., the charismatic, messianic Magic, um, Mulatto, should NEVER be President. William Charles Ayers was dedicated to destroying the “establishment” when Obama was eight years old, and he is STILL dedicated to destroying the “establishment” today. Over that 40 years or so, Obama has grown up, and STILL admires Bill Ayers the domestic terrorist, and has even allied himself in one of the efforts to destroy that “establishment” through the Chicago Annenburg Challenge, by soaking up a considerable sum of money (estimated as something like $100+ million, may have been as much as $150 million), and turning elementary schools into indoctrination centers, where young men come marching out chanting “Alpha, Omega”, and pledge their allegiance to Barack Obama.

Just too much eerily like the “Hitlerjungend” of some 70 years ago.

Since LaBolt says this was the “first time” Ayers and Obama met, this lunch must have taken place before the CAC’s first board meeting in March of 1995. Although it is undoubtedly true that Ayers and Obama met long before this, that is legally sufficient evidence under basic agency law principles that Ayers approved of Obama as the board chair.”

Now Axelrod et al are claiming that Obama did not know ‘the history’ of Ayers. That too is being exposed as a lie. What will they do next? Just claim that Obama is stupid and a poor judge of character? Shall we get a list going of all the questionable characters that Obama wants us to believe he was clueless about?

William Julius Wilson was at the “coffee” at Ayers’s house back in 1996 as well. Wilson is now on the board of The Century Foundation, where Peter Osnos is the Senior Fellow for Media. Osnos was the publisher for Obama’s first book. There is no doubt in my mind that William Ayres wrote Dreams from my Father.

In 1996, I sat in a friend’s living room in Chicago and listened to Barack Obama discuss his decision to run for a senatorial seat in the Illinois State Legislature. I remember thinking how great it would be if this articulate and thoughtful young man could eventually emerge as a national political figure. Since that time, Obama has not only become one of the country’s most influential political figures, but also a serious candidate for the Presidency of the United States.

This is really, really funny.

First, Pinch Sulzberger obeyed Obama’s order to get the Ayres story out there in a harmless and misleading way, so it could be labeled “old news”—a technique they used again and again under clinton.
