Election Could Decide Future of Abortion for Decades

Washington, DC -- The Los Angeles Times, in a weekend article clearly articulated the massive stakes for the pro-life movement in the upcoming presidential election. The newspaper confirms the importance pro-life groups have placed on the election -- saying that it could determine the fate of legal abortions for decades because of the power the next president will have to shape the Supreme Court.

This is important as Barack Obama has pledged to only appoint pro-abortion judges while John McCain promises jurists who won't make up the law from the bench.

To me, this is the election. We have to stop the genocide of the innocent.

Until this country takes responsibility and stops this horror, there will never be peace within it’s borders.

You can not believe you can kill innocent humans, and then be expected to respect anything. Grandma and grandpa are next on the list.

This has to END!!!

Why aren’t pro-life folks acting like they are concerned? I’ve not heard one ad here in Virginia though Mark Warner has said he wouldn’t confirm conservative judges like Scalia or Thomas and solidly supports Roe-v-Wade. Conservative religious groups have really dropped the ball in this election unless they are going to hammer Obama over the next few weeks. Obama is far more liberal than John Kerry and far more dangerous.

Fer Crissakes...even if Roe v Wade is taken out it only means that the abortion decision becomes a state-by-state issue, where it should have remained in the first place. Why don’t these morons bring out this fact??!? Damn!!!! SSZ

I increasingly believe that the US is on the brink of civil collapse and war.

In that case only military prowess will decide the future, not political wrangling.

Period.

I agree that it has to end, however, I DO NOT believe abortion will EVER be illegal in this country again....ever.
There are just TOO many militants who are in favor of it.

Also, looking at how G-d has allowed one defeat after another of Christians who seek to put people in office who are pro-life, leads me to the conclusion that we are depending on our leaders to do the work that we as individual Christians are supposed to be doing.

We are the ones who are to fight the battle. Do not put your faith in man- he will always let you down. We are to be in the trenches winning over those who would seek to have an abortion.

Part of me hopes it doesn’t come to that but another part believes that we aren’t going to solve anything fighting against a stacked hand. Some times things have to fall down in order to be built up stronger.

Grandma and Grandpa? Sadly, I have to agree. The arguments about abortion that center on the “burden” that such people would be, and what a hard life they would have, apply just as much (or, in my mind, are just as gruesome) to those who are filling our retirement homes, mental institutions, prisons, homeless shelters, AIDS hospices, etc. How long could it be before people say “if you don’t let me kill my Grandpa, then you should be willing to take care of him personally.”

There was also the practice of “suttee” in parts of India. A widow was burned at her husband’s funeral pyre. after all, what kind of life would she have without her husband?

Rather than explaining away the horrible societal problems that make killing of the innicents a “humane” solution, maybe those sickesses in society need to be addressed.

Exactly. It begins with the youth of today.

My daughter went to the Life-Chain rally/event yesterday. Stood along the main road through town and was amazed at the hate that was shown to them. I could tell the sadness in her eyes. But what she saw is the face of evil. I told her that is what Jesus meant when he said you will be pursecuted in my name. Evil does not like to be exposed for what it is.

The youth are the answer. I believe they are the ones to change the future. God is opening their eyes to this horror, and they are beginning to speak their mind. Talking to their parents about this and what Obama is really for. Out of the mouths of babes.

And get it right about the hate towards Sarah Palin. It is more about Trig, then her pro-life stance. They hate that precious baby because he stands for everything they believe they have the right to kill.

God is in charge and free will is a powerful thing. Keep the story of Job in mind. We need to press on and educate the youth. That is the way, teach these children that they deserve more then a backseat romp. They need to learn to respect themselves, then that will translate into respect of others, especially the innocent.

As far as the states go, some are working on legislation to prevent abortions being available in that state if Roe V Wade is ever overturned.

The horrors of today will be exposed and changed. I have complete trust, but I have to take action to help it along.

That is the logical next phase with the Freedom of Choice act that Obama wants to make first on his agenda.

Oregon already has an assisted suicide law and they are now starting to refuse extra life saving measures to terminally ill persons.

It is not a far leap to see where this is all going. That is the reason we have to take action. Educate, educate, educate!!!!

On the weekend of March 31, 2008, Msgr. Patrick Bishop, Pastor of Transfiguration in Marietta, Ga. as part of his sermon following the gospel made the declaration that Senator Barack Hussein Obama is qualified to be president. Never once did Msgr. Patrick Bishop indicate that Senator Obama is Pro abortion and Pro Infanticide!

Why is Msgr. Bishop supporting a Pro Abortion and Pro Infantice during the Sermon after the gospel in the Mass?

Does Archbishop Wilton Gregory the Atlanta Catholic Diocese support abortion the position of Msgr. Patrick Bishop and Senator Barack Obama?

Right - health insurance companies are now off the hook and can more easily refuse coverage. Not to mention all the social pressure the heirs can put on Grandpa to "do the right thing." "After all, if it were that bad it would be illegal, right?"

Exactly! We need to educate everyone! This goes against the most precious human right of all, the right to live. Which I am sure is Obama and the left’s end game, to destroy all life they deem unworthy to live.

Either that, or we force Congress to remove the issue from the Federal courts entirely.

But we won't.
