JERUSALEM – Palestinian brothers inside the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip are listed in government election filings as having donated $29,521.54 to Sen. Barack Obama's campaign.
Donations of this nature would violate election laws, including prohibitions on receiving contributions from foreigners and guidelines against accepting more than $2,300 from one individual during a single election, Bob Biersack, a spokesman for the Federal Election Commission, told WND in response to a query.
The contributions also raise numerous questions about the Obama campaign's lax online donation form, which apparently allows for the possibility of foreign contributions.
Last week, the Atlas Shrugs blog outlined a series of donations in 2007 made to Obama's campaign from two individuals, Monir Edwan and Hosam Edwan, totaling $29,521.54.

Barack Hussein Obama is a muslim.
This could be devastating political fodder if the McCain team could find the best way to use it.
If the MSM were in the tank for McCain, this could sink Obama because the media would repeat it over and over.
But instead, they ignore it, so McCain has to find a way to do an end run with it.

I think this is something Americans can understand rather easily. Who is this man? Why is he taking foreign money? Why is he associating with homegrown terrorists who still hate America and ruefully reflect on not having done enough to physically attack its government? Why does he attend a church for 20 years and sit through anti-American screed after screed presented as “sermons.”
Obama’s campaign is all about his personality, his character. And that is his fatal flaw.

Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt said the campaign has no idea who the individuals are and has returned all the donations, using the credit-card numbers they gave to the campaign. (In a similar case earlier this year, the campaign returned $33,000 to two Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip who had bought T shirts in bulk from the campaign's online store. They had listed their address as "Ga.," which the campaign took to mean Georgia rather than Gaza.) "While no organization is completely protected from Internet fraud, we will continue to review our fund-raising procedures," LaBolt said. Some critics say the campaign hasn't done enough.
This summer, watchdog groups asked both campaigns to share more information about its small donors. The McCain campaign agreed; the Obama campaign did not. "They could've done themselves a service" by heeding the suggestions, said Massie Ritsch of the Center for Responsive Politics.
So I guess it's business as usual?
