Maybe Rove is doing a little “misdirection” of his own.

Oh good God! Pull your head out of your ass and start fighting! Your nick is Old Sarge, well live up to the god damned name and fight back! Anyway, anyhow, anywhere.
Mods, I am sorry. But I was where this Old Sarge is last week until I heard Hannity say (basically) don't be Fdiscouraged! fight for what you believe in! It lifted me and I have decided I am NOT going to go down until its over! Then I will fight for our rights if the messiah wins. (That and buy another gun!)

McCain tries to be too nice to others. He has had the snot beaten out of him and he seems afraid to body-slam his opponent. He wants to be “bi partisan” all the time.
I’ve tried to email the Team and tell them that it’s PAST time to be BI and is the time to be PARTISAN.
No one can win the Presidency playing the “nice” card.

Why does Karl feel the need to criticize our team on national TV? Gee, you’d think he was trying to depress us or something.

Yeah, I double checked. McCain has ZERO offices in Texas. The RNC has one in Williamson County (maybe more in other areas). Just fyi:
FL = 75 McCain offices
CA = 71
OH = 54
NC = 18
ME = 5
VA = 21
CO = 8
NM = 9
I did not check all states, but here is the source if you would like to check how many "victory offices" McCain has in your area. It's just very, very peculiar that he has 71 offices in California where no one thinks he has a prayer, and in MI where he is at least somewhat competitive he pulled his offices, all but one. I think his internals are saying something very interesting about CA.

Here’s what you’re going to hear Tuesday night from McCain in no particular order:
1. My friends
2. Maverick
3. The surge worked
4. Reach across the aisle
5. Climate change

The message already arrived and that is why all the news in the last 36 hours was about Ayres, the TV ads will follow next week connecting Obama to Ayres. The Obama camp is thrown out of track and they can do nothing about it.
PS: Our military makes our enmies well aware that they are going to be attacked months before the actual attack and the enemies still cannot do anything about it.

It seems like a surprisingly unwise military strategy to win. It is like handing plans and troop locations to an enemy. I pray he has plans that work. One hopes this is a replay of "the man who never was."

“CA polls within margin of error.”
I trust the polls very little, but that seems like a reach.
Got a link? ras showed a double-digit spread there today.

True. So True. Architect or not, I don’t trust him or Morris. I do, however, trust Sarah Palin. I don’t need a mouthpiece. Just the real thing will do.

by announcing it in advance, it creates anticipation and curiosity about how it will be played, and thus more publicity. Free publicity. Exactamundo!

"Got a link?"
Actually, check out the thread from last night. It's a long one, but all about the CA speculation. That's where I got the info (other than the campaign office info, which came from the primary source).

All I can think of is, by announcing it in advance, it creates anticipation and curiosity about how it will be played, and thus more publicity. Free publicity.
But negative publicity - CNN and other MSM orgs were announcing days ago that McCain intended to go negative, which makes people pay less attention to the content of McCain's ads and more attention to McCain's campaign strategy. Rove is 100% right - McCain's campaign needs to spend less time talking about it's plans and more time carrying out those plans.
To: JSteff
The debate is on Tuesday right? If McCain had hit Obama with a couple of intense points on Monday he would still be explaining them away on Tuesday.
Advanced notice of actions in war lessens the effect of the attack. No surprise = no advantage.
We will know on Tuesday whether the election is over or not.
McCain has Obama on foreign policy, this economic crisis and his radical associations. I dont care if he gets angry, a lot of people are angry because of this economic disaster.
To: AnotherUnixGeek
Do you really think the DBM can convince people that it's McCain's fault for warning people about Obama’s ties to terrorists?

How ‘bout this:
Ayers/Rezko are just the “softening-up” phase, the real killer attack comes in about 2 weeks.
