Branding his opponent as “erratic in a crisis,” Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) is preempting plans by Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) to portray him as having sinister connections to controversial Chicagoans.
Obama officials call it political jujitsu – turning the attacks back on the attacker.
McCain officials had said early in the weekend that they plan to begin advertising after Tuesday’s debate that will tie Obama to convicted money launderer Tony Rezko and former Weathermen radical William Ayers.
But Obama isn’t waiting to respond. His campaign is going up Monday on national cable stations with a scathing ad saying: “Three quarters of a million jobs lost this year. Our financial system in turmoil. And John McCain? Erratic in a crisis. Out of touch on the economy. No wonder his campaign wants to change the subject.
“Turn the page on the financial crisis by launching dishonorable, dishonest ‘assaults’ against Barack Obama. Struggling families can't turn the page on this economy, and we can't afford another president who is this out of touch.”
Then Obama says: “I'm Barack Obama and I approved this message.”
McCain officials told Politico that the new offensive is likely to focus on Rezko and Ayers. The officials said the campaign will not bring up the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s former pastor, because McCain has forbade them from using that as a weapon. Without being specific, the officials said outside groups may focus on Wright.

I heard an interview with someone from this project last night, it was absolutely CHILLING.
They spent a big chunk of money on lawyers to even get this produced, all of it is true, Obama’s high priced liberal inside D.C. lawyers were all over them before they even released it. They are being intimidated with CRIMINAL prosecution for a political ad.
What is going on with Obama is pure Stalinist tactics. In Missouri, as he said the threat of being CRIMINALLY PROSECUTED for not telling the truth about Obama is enough for 95% of people to Shut Up.
They were threatening CRIMINAL prosecution if you disagreed that 95% of people would get a tax cut with Obama’s plan.

I’m also very happy about Obama overplaying his hand with the shenanigans in Missouri, the Obama children’s choir, the Obama Youth Brigade, etc. If they think the majority of this country goes for this celebutard approach they are sadly mistaken.
We are starting our surge now, ending in the Palin landslide in November.

If that ad is what passes for ‘HEAVY NEGATIVE’ in Obama’s camp, then wait till they get a load of the next 30 days.
If these hit before the debate McCain should call him on it there.
Obviously Obammy and his campain have contingency plans to deal with this. They know they are radical anti american marxists. I can not wait to see what the plan is.

The Indonesian government knows more about Barack Obama aka Barry Soetoro than both the American government and the American people know.
My only fear now is that even when confronted with the horrible revealing truth about Obama and who is backing him, there are many in America who still will refuse to believe it.

It’s a chess game. Because Obama is an extremely weak opponent and they’re using his weakness against him.
They’re baiting him into being on the defensive again.
The narrative is changing right before our eyes.
Their biggest problem with this tack is that people know McCain. For better or worse, they have a fix on him. They're not going to think that going to DC to work on the bailout is proof of being erratic because they've known him forever -- if they already thought he was erratic, it won't change anything, if they didn't think so they won't either.
The difference with Obama is that the voters don't know this guy and don't know whether they can trust him. If he gets over that hump he'll win. But Ayers, etc. puncture the myth. They show the public what Obama truly is, a far leftist.
And I strongly suspect that one of the reasons McCain's campaign is holding back on anything about Wright is because that's their nuclear option--if Obama wants to get down and dirty, he may regret it.
All McCain has to do is put this ad out...
In these most troubling times for our economy it is beyond reckless to ask Americans to support a trillion dollar change agenda. Save it for times when America is at peace and prosperity Obama you are Radical, Reckless and Irresponsible just like your associates in Chicago. Not ready to lead.
Perhaps Obama got the information as to what McCain was up to from the computer they stole, maybe that is why Sarah came out with this today.
