Both McCain and Obama voted “Yea”

Here’s a quick recap of the sweeteners they added to this already ridicuouls bill:

· $223M for Alaskan fisherman

· $192M for rum producers in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands

· $128M for auto racing

· $33M for companies operating in American Samoa

· $10M for film & TV production

· $6M for producers of wooden arrows

Now the rum and wooden arrows could come in handy if they are going to distribute them to the general population .... by the way, how many wooden arrows does $6 million buy?

If the wooden arrows can be used to shoot at Obama and the dems, i am all for it!

Actually the sweeteners are not pork, but tax cuts.

Obama voted yes? Biden votes no? Is this transparent to anyone else? Biden's no-vote accomplished nothing legislatively. So they vote both sides, thus positioning themselves to take credit for success or failure either way? Good gried.

BS, John McCain, I will hold my nose and vote for you, but your conduct makes me sick. I can't believe you voted for this crap.

Dole did the right thing, but I am sure only because she is up for reelection.

-- Biden said in the debate that he and Obama voted differently --

He was referring to something other than the bailout / tax-extender votes of October 1st.

21:18: Dodd substitute amendment (bailout plus energy tax extenders) was PASSED, on a 74-25 vote (predicted 79-19) (NAY votes: Allard, Barrasso, Brownback, Bunning, Cantwell, Cochran, Crapo, DeMint, Dole, Dorgan, Enzi, Feingold, Inhofe, Johnson, Landrieu, Nelson (FL), Roberts, Sanders, Sessions, Shelby, Stabenow, Tester, Vitter, Wicker, Wyden)

21:41: Final passage of H.R.1424 (bailout plus energy tax extenders) PASSED, on a 74-25 vote (NAY votes: Allard, Barrasso, Brownback, Bunning, Cantwell, Cochran, Crapo, DeMint, Dole, Dorgan, Enzi, Feingold, Inhofe, Johnson, Landrieu, Nelson (FL), Roberts, Sanders, Sessions, Shelby, Stabenow, Tester, Vitter, Wicker, Wyden)
