A weathered sweat shirt, cash and a pilot identification card with Fossett's name were found Tuesday near Mammoth Lakes, police Chief Randy Schienle said. The ID did not have a photo, he said.

I have no conspiracy to sell, but that little pile seems so contrived.

If you asked yourself, "What could I find, short of a body, to make the case that he is dead?" You would come up with those exact items.

It just reads sorta hokey.

As I remember the brief report on FOX, people from the town of Mammoth found the items.

The town is 90(?) miles south of Lake Tahoe, close to the California border.

Haven't had time to scrutinize a map.
I wish that Amazon still had their "electronic turk" up...

How much life insurance did he have?

What were his debts?

Where is his wife? I she still living in the U.S.?

We had something unusual happen here in Panama recently concerning a British couple:

Five years ago he faked his drowning back in Briton. He was a canoeist.

Wife collects on life insurance and moves to the Republic of Panama.

He finds out that she is having and affair with a Panamanian.

Light turns on. Since he is dead, she can walk off with their money.

What to do? He goes back to England and turns himself and his wife into the authorities.
