Follow this link to the test: http://www.barackobamatest.com/?fuseaction=home.options

Do not keep reading if you plan to take the test later.

See below where you agree or disagree with Barack Obama on each question, and also where the rest of America stands.

See if you can find where Barack Obama is on the same side with majority of Americans (assuming we can trust the sited polls).

See if you can find a proof that America is sharply divided 50/50, or if it is MSM perpetrated myth that is reinforced by inertia of voting the same party that people (and their parents) always voted. Hint: while there are some issues where there is no unity (legality of abortion procedure, for example), there are very many important issues where a clear majority opinion exists. Note, that this test is not all encompassing, and leaves some issues untouched. I am sure there are other sources that do cover them.

A quibble: Some questions in this test are not neutral, that gives our liberal friends an unnecessary fodder to complain about. But its minor, so fire away.

Energy

1. Presently, 85% of American energy comes from fossil fuels while 7% comes from alternative energy sources. Interesting!

This ping list is not author-specific for articles I'd like to share. Some for the perfect moral clarity, some for provocative thoughts; or simply interesting articles I'd hate to miss myself. (I don't have to agree with the author all 100% to feel the need to share an article.) I will try not to abuse the ping list and not to annoy you too much, but on some days there is more of the good stuff that is worthy of attention. You can see the list of articles I pinged to lately  on  my page.
You are welcome in or out, just freepmail me (and note which PING list you are talking about). Besides this one, I keep 2 separate PING lists for my favorite authors Victor Davis Hanson and Orson Scott Card.

I took this test several days ago, with no preconceptions. I did find some of the questions to be slanted and/or leading, but overall, it was a good survey. I disagreed with him on 100% of the questions/positions, so it is good to see the results tabulated like this. The sad thing is that most voters will go into the booth uninformed, never having taken this or another like it to see where they actually stand in relation to BHO, or they are too blinded or stupid to care.

This is stupid, I have a much more direct test:

_________________________________________Obama______Me

Do you like white people?______________________No_______Yes
Do you like America?__________________________No_______Yes
Would you be comfortable with sharia law?________Yes_______No
Should America disarm and submit to the UN?______Yes_______No
Do you agree with the basics of capitalism?________No________Yes

Ok, that’s enough. What more do you need to know?!

You DISAGREED with the Barack Obama position on 51 of the
51 test questions.
This means you disagree with the Obama position 100% of
the time.

That’s my point as well. Most of people judge politicians like celebrities, on their looks, rhetoric. Their stand on issues and ability to lead or manage the country are deep down the list.

I also subscribe to the idea that most people are more conservative than they realize. When presented with honest questions they will choose conservative side more often than they would think before the test. It is the source of optimism, IMHO of course.

"You DISAGREED with the Barack Obama position on 46 of the 51 test questions. This means you disagree with the Obama position 90% of the time."

I can live with that.

I agreed with Obama on the question where he agreed with majority of Americans: I also think that “Homeland Security should have to seek out a warrant in federal court in order to perform search and seizure on an American citizen suspected of being involved in terrorism”

Currently, 36 states have laws that allow residents to qualify for a permit to carry a firearm if they pass a background check, if they take a firearms safety-training course, and if they pay a fee to cover administrative costs. Do you support or oppose such laws?

I oppose in principle any such laws. What part of "Shall not be infringed" don't they understand?

My result was: Disagree with Obama 57% of the time.

I have a hard right position on some issues, but one of them was not included in this quiz (immigration) whereas I have a liberal position on another that comprised a large part of the quiz (abortion). Also, there was only one question apiece for crime and justice, two other areas where my views are definitely on the right side of the fence.

So to me, the quiz is pretty slanted and I don’t think it accurately reflects my positions vs his. To me it seems to be designed more for a certain type of conservative rather than the full spectrum of conservatism.
