CARACAS (Reuters) - President Hugo Chavez said on Sunday Venezuela will develop a nuclear reactor for peaceful purposes, in another challenge to Washington just days after Russia offered nuclear assistance to the socialist Latin American leader.

Well, with 50% now voting for Obama and the coming alliances between Iran, Russia and Venezuela, I guess it’s kind of cool that I’ll be around to see the end of the world.

OK, the Israelis strike Iran on Monday, and we strike Venezuela on Tuesday. Game over. I love it when a plan comes together.

Worst case, let’s see how Obama handles this one. Probably ignore it, like he will every other international problem until some adviser tells him what to do

Take note you idiots out there who say Russia is not our enemy.

They ARE our enemy, and are showing it in both word and deed.

“we are interested in development of nuclear energy, of course for PIECE - ful purposes,” ............... Whenever a dictator states this, we must prepare ourselves for the worst.

Oh yes there is. We need to carry out airstrikes to remove any of Chavez's nuclear installations just as we need to do the same for Amhadinejad's.

Now is not the time to become soft.

Like we did with North Korea?

Either Iran is made an example or it is over.

There's no indication that we are going to do anything about Iran.

The list is long now...

Iran
Pakistan
India
North Korea
Venezuela
Brazil
Egypt
Syria (Israel at least temporally did something about this one)
And who knows who else...

India is the world’s largest democratic republic, and sits dead in between some of our worst enemies (Russia to the north, China to the east, Pak to the west). The people there aren’t stupid. They know if the crap goes down, they’re on their own. I give them a pass even though the US didn’t.

None of our leaders will risk anything that might slow down the flow of oil or imports. We are fat, lazy and spoiled rotten.

"Venezuela will develop a nuclear reactor for peaceful purposes"

Multitudes on FR scoffed at Pat Robertson, but for all his faults, he was right about Chavez.

If John McCain is elected, all that will change. We'll have a tough-as-nails, take-no-bs leader in office who deal a decisive and fatal blow to all our enemies worldwide.

If Osama gets in, well say hello to sharia both here and abroad.

With all their oil, what do they need a nuclear reactor for?
Answer — same thing Iran wants reactors for.
