Isn’t it obvious that diplomacy won’t work with Iran, especially while Ahmadinejad is in office?

There’s a thing called the Israeli Air Force......I wonder if people have ever heard of it....

So either he’s lying or his website is. ;~ D

BTW - someone needs to tell him that we’ve been having low level talks with this Iranian regime for almost 30 yrs,
...And...
that alqaeda’s members and leadership are dying in droves

BREAKING: KISSINGER REPUDIATES OBAMA'S MIS-CHARACTERIZATION OF HIS VIEWS ON IRAN AND DIPLOMACY!!!!! OBAMA HAS STEPPED IN IT BIG TIME

"Henry Kissinger believes Barack Obama misstated his views on diplomacy with US adversaries and is not happy about being mischaracterized. He says: "Senator McCain is right. I would not recommend the next President of the United States engage in talks with Iran at the Presidential level. My views on this issue are entirely compatible with the views of my friend Senator John McCain. We do not agree on everything, but we do agree that any negotiations with Iran must be geared to reality.""

Diplomacy: Obama supports tough, direct presidential diplomacy with Iran without preconditions. Now is the time to pressure Iran directly to change their troubling behavior. Obama and Biden would offer the Iranian regime a choice.

... Caught another lie.

uh uh uh
preconditions really means preparations
I’m sure the axis of evil understands that (sarc)

Besides Ahmadinejad is not the most powerful leader in Iran (?) (did you catch that one?)

I don’t know what to call what we’ve been doing thus far with Iran other than diplomacy. Just because Bush hasn’t had a photo-op with Ahmad doesn’t mean we haven’t been engaging them diplomatically. What does Obama think we’ll profit by having a face-to-face. Will Ahmad look us in the eyes and realize we have only his best interests at heart?

This reminds me of the famous “hotline” between Washington and Moscow. Anyone who thinks being able to talk to the commies directly prevented misunderstandings and saved the world from calamity is a moron. The hotline was a show-piece. The U.S. and the Soviets understood eachother through overt actions.

There are still far too many people who operate under the “Sarajevo Fallacy,” or the notion that nations go to war because they just don’t get eachother. Not so. We get Iran, only too well.

As we say here in NC, “God bless his heart” apparently he doesn’t even know what his policies are or what his website says!

Yes, thank you for this post.

Maybe it’s because I have a morbid imagination; maybe it’s because I feel a bit giddy that McCain did A-OK tonight in the debate; but I’ve just noticed that Obama’s campaign logo - that circle with the red-and-white stripes - resembles a bird’s-eye view of a toilet with an American flag swirling down it...

I don’t know if anyone noticed how B.O. launched into how he would handle Russia...by “requiring” certain things be layed out prior to meeting..... after his gaffe on Iran. I thought... “Isn’t that requiring “preconditions”?” My gosh.... the guy is all over the map here.......
