Harry Reid (D-NV) thinking the public and Senate are both distracted by the Paulson plan to bailout Wall Street intends to sneak the drilling ban back in the continuing resolution.

He is doing it right now.

Uranium Enrichment Decontamination and Decommissioning Fund, $120 million

Treasury Inspector General, $10.6 million

GSA Federal Buildings Fund DHS/CG Construction, $346.6 million

Coast Guard Polar Icebreaker, $925 million

EPA Science and Technology, $10.6 million

EPA State and Tribal Assistance Grants, $600 million

I’m not sure it qaulifies as a sneak if anyone has followed them awhile.

I mean this is the Democrats pattern.

Announce Republicans have succeeded, in an attempt to convince the public it’s over. Then put it in the bill. It’s routine at this point for them to do this.

It’s why I didn’t cheer earlier.
