A grainy YouTube video surfaced Wednesday showing Sarah Palin being blessed in her hometown church three years ago by a Kenyan pastor who prayed for protection from "witchcraft" as she prepared to seek higher office.
The video shows Palin standing before Bishop Thomas Muthee in the pulpit of the Wasilla Assembly of God church, holding her hands open as he asked Jesus Christ to keep her safe from "every form of witchcraft."
"Come on, talk to God about this woman. We declare, save her from Satan," Muthee said as two attendants placed their hands on Palin's shoulders. "Make her way my God. Bring finances her way even for the campaign in the name of Jesus. ... Use her to turn this nation the other way around."

Weren’t some people going after Mitt because teh Mormons beleive that Jesus and the Devil are brothers? (which they clearly are according to the logic that God is their father).
Seems to me that pointing out “unusual” religious practices are pretty fair game.
Of course, maybe we are supposed to believe that Gov. Palin NEEDED this protection. Question is whether or not she got it.
I've got to call BS on this one. The preacher's hand motions and movements in no way match the cadence of his voice and what he is saying ... the audio portion is most likely faked.
The attacks have reached levels of the absurd. My goodness, you can get a picture of any politician wearing silly clothes, receiving strange blessings etc.Jeeze did Chelsea get an offer of marriage with a gift of a few goats! (something like that) :)

Where are all these kooks coming from? Does anyone else think there has been a tremendous increase in the number of kooks out there “investigating” Governor Palin? They’re all kooks.
Exactly. Blessings that democrats receive along the way are lauded by the press. But republicans are portrayed as strange and extreme.
Does this mean she doesn’t weigh the same as a duck, and is, therefore, NOT made of wood?

That assessment isn’t far off actually. The subliminal message is that Palin feels the need to ask protection from witchcraft.
A deeper subliminal message might be to suggest that she herself practiced it and is receiving absolution through the blessing.
Who knows what goes through their goofy minds?

The minute the media points out “unusual” religious practices of democrats and casts them as unfavorable, I’ll consider calling it fair game.
Until then it’s just one more media witch-hunt.
